Poetry

includes poetry and songs written (mostly) during my stint as the lead singer of my old ska band á la Aquabats (meaning the songs are goofy)

Poetry

cutting away an old life
shards of me as
i look into the mirror
as prominent as my once
alabaster
now tattered
skin
broken shrapnel i fell
shattering across
the floor
glue leaks out
unfixable
nickel pierces infecting
walls seeping dark colours
behemoth gashes
fade into my
soul nothingness
wide expanses of emptiness
lay waste bringing
white-black
gripping throat strangulates voices screaming
silence pains
bring it on
taut skin as new wounds form drawing
beautiful lines

Rush Hour
They played their music
and danced in polluted lots
Dreaming of the time that
heaven would come to them
working hands to bone
drudgery consuming pleasure
Early morning late nights
never slowing never stopping
Rushed traffic barely moving moving
towards and early death
small cubicles hosting spent
skeletons running from life
