Frank Edwin Wright III, now known as Tre Cool, was born December 9, 1972, making him the youngest member of Green Day. He lived in Willits, California with his dad and 2 siblings. His dad built houses in the area, including that of Lookout! Records owner Laurence Livermore. At age 12, Tre joined Livermore's band The Lookouts. Evenually, when John Kriftmeyer decided to leave Green Day, Livermore suggested Tre as their new drummer. Billie Joe and Mike grabbed at the opportunity to have Tre in the band. It's been said that Tre was John's drum teacher.
Tre married his long time girlfriend Lisea Lyons in March of 1995, and soon had a daughter named Ramona. Him and Lisea are divorced now, but Tre remarried in May of 2000, to Claudia. Claudia and him have a son named Frankito. Tre still lives in Oakland, California with his ex wife and son, Frankito. My favorite Tre fact: Tre went to clown college before the band got big. He also wrote the song "Dominated Love Slave" which is on Green Day's second album, Kerplunk!
