| I Policy Interpretation
- In all policy matters, Gen. Whittlesey has final say.
II Recruiting:
- Recruits must be at least 15 years old.
- Recruits in their 20s and older are desirable for their
maturity.
- Players from other countries, and those using 56K-dialup
service may join if their presence does not cause lag on
servers.
- In addition to skill, members should consider maturity,
a candidate’s clan history and memberships, attitude,
participation and potential service to <TLB>. Infrequent
players can be a burden.
- If a player wishes to join <TLB> and a Sgt. or higher
approves, that player becomes a cadet.
1) He is a cadet for a two-week trial period. He slaps on
<TLB-c> which means he's a cadet and not a full member.
2) During the two weeks, he has a chance to meet everyone,
and all the
members can see that he is one to check out.
3) We vote on him after the period. If he's accepted, he
takes the -c
off the logo and becomes a Pvt. If not, he takes the logo
off altogether.
- The clan is not to recruit a person who is a TLB member’s
enemy. The clan places existing members over new members.
- In the case of a question, the Senior Staff can discuss
the issue, though Gen. Whittlesey has final say.
III Promotions:
- Promotions are given for -- among other things -- demonstration
of improved skill, service to the clan, frequency of play,
maturity and achievement in a clan war. It is not to be
expected, and repeated requests for a promotion will be
frowned upon.
- All promotions are given by Senior Staff vote only. Others
may suggest that a member deserves a promotion, and that
suggestion will be addressed at the staff meeting.
- The minimum waiting period between promotions is one month,
but this is only a minimum. Promotions are left to the discretion
of the Senior Staff. Special cases may call for more frequent
promotions. III Suspensions
- A member can be suspended for -- among other things --
lying, cheating, using foul language, disobeying the requests
or orders of a superior officer, switching of name or rank,
or unprovoked insulting of other clan members or other neutral
or friendly clans.
- It is suggested that members copy chat dialog as proof.
- A member receives a warning for such behavior. The second
violation results in a suspension.
- Someone suggesting a suspension must take it to any Senior
Staff member, who can then decide or seek advice from other
members or senior staffers.
- A suspended member must take off the <TLB> logo
and rank for a seven days. He can not play with any other
<TLB> members, and <TLB> members must not play
with a suspended player. The day of suspension counts as
the first day. He can rejoin on the eighth day.
- Any suspended member who refuses to stop playing and accept
suspension gets reported to Gen. Whittlesey, who could report
that player to GameRanger officials.
IV Demotions
- The Senior Staff or Gen. Whittlesey may demote a member
to a lower rank as further punishment for violating clan
rules.
V Expulsions
- A member who violates a suspension will be booted from
<TLB>, subject to approval by Gen. Whittlesey or the
Senior Staff.
- A member demoted lower than Pvt. is considered expelled
from <TLB>.
- Screen shots and chat dialog should be sent to the staff
to back up the case for an expulsion.
- Switching clans is not allowed, and may be punished by
expulsion.
- The Senior Staff or Gen. Whittlesey may expel a member
for repeated offenses, suspensions, or any violation deemed
serious enough.VI TLB Letters and Icon
- Members can wear only TLB letters and icons -- even while
playing
other online games, or while playing on other GameSpy servers.
- Members can not attach to his name or substitute any other
clan names, initials, ranks or icons.VII Enemy and friendly
clans
- Members are to avoid enemy clans.
- Players from a friendly clan should be greeted and welcomed.
- Friend/enemy status must be approved by Gen. Whittlesey.
VIII Challenges and Clan Battles
Gen. Whittlesey must approve all battles with other clans
-- including
those challenges brought on by insults.
