Welcome All.

As our new season begins most of you returning from our mens team of last year will notice a few changes. The first being our team name. Our former sponsorship deal with an unnamed company has fallen through. Fortunatly we have been scooped up by Scots Corner. Through the managments generosity we have been able to field two teams. A men and a womans team have been formed by Joan and Dave Shillinglaw. The managment teams have been formed. Joan and Clare will run our womans team. We are exicted to see how their experience will form this new side into a championship team. More news to come....

Our returning mens first team will be run by our old Gaffer and our Skippper Mark Roberts. Our side had an excellent debut season. Like most promoted teams, we struggled in the beginning to find our touch. Yet, as the season moved on the side found their winning ways. As most have heard we lost a few key veterans to old age, retirement and relocation. Tom Guerin, Silky and Colin to name a few will not be in our side this season. We wish them the best of luck in future endevours. The gaffer has assured the associated press and awaiting fans that new signings are on their way. The Club released this statement last night. " Contracts are being formed and the final details being completed at the moment. Our new faces will be unveiled in due course". Associated Press Release

We will have a social gathering in the Scots Corner on Saturday the 5th of February. One week from today. It is mandatory to wear a soccer jersey of your favourite team (anything except hoops). We had a couple of these when we were the "pub formerly known as Joe's". Makes for a great colourful photo. Tom Guiren former team-founder/player/ secretary(coz he had a pen) is reported as possibly making an appearance from the good old US of A. We will keep you all informed as to his progress in the attempt at the border crossing. Gaffer

Off the CORONA

Mexican International 'Goyo' has performed amazingly for the Scots side this season. Has our mexican defender given up the Corona?? You decide. More to come... Associated Press
