The virgin Mary was chosen by God to be the only virgin to bear a child. Her child was Jesus Christ. At first, people who were called Christians, were really Catholics. But, soon after, Martin Luther reformed and created the first true Christian church. What does this have to do with you? Lots of things!Catholicism and Christianity are similar, but aren't the same. Here are some ways to tell the difference between them. Catholics believe Mary is the Sacred Virgin. Also, the Catholic cross, called the crucifix, has Jesus still on it, the Christian cross doesn't. My personal experiance is that Catholicism has brought me to a higher level of knowing God's will. See ya!
