Leighann's Top 5 Plank 63 Memories
Every Plank show is a memory in it’s own right but I managed to narrow it down to my top 5. Here they are:
5. The show at Goodtimes when Plank played with New Son Rising, and Moontide. Great show and greater company. The first of many signed set lists that is on this site was obtained at this show.
4. The All Ages show at the Orange Armory…It was a good time and it was really cool to see the younger generation getting into Plank’s music. I will never forget the kid in the front row who was really getting into it. He was awesome.
3. The first time I met Ara, at Club Fuel…long after the time I first met Cameron, Donnie and Jim. I finally went up to him and said, “Hi Ara, I’m Leighann and I met the rest of the guys numerous times, but haven’t met you yet.” He made a cute comment about how drummers get no love, and was just really warm and friendly. At that point I knew we were gonna be friends.
2. The locobazooka DVD release party, one of the best live shows I ever saw Plank put on. Not to mention the funny faces Cameron kept directing at me their whole set…that was also the first (and hopefully the last HAHAHAHA!!) time that he flicked his sweat at me and actually hit me with it.
1. The first time I met Jim, Cam, and Donnie…(not sure where Ara was) at The Compound…Jim in particular who made me laugh the whole night, made fun of my post on the plank board, and called me a freakette. A nickname that stuck along with 4 friendships that were made that night….A night I will NEVER forget.
