the press should be free to report whatever is going on in the world, uninhibited by government, capitalism, or whatever.
at the moment there isn't much government intereference, or so i think. i dunno, some people slightly more conspiracy-minded than me disagree, but i'm not sure.
i think the press is more influenced by capitalism to be honest. because no matter what the media; television or newspaper form, they're out to make money/get viewers. so they'll print stories that make money, leaving more important issues behind sometimes.
in an ideal world the press would report everything about everything, and only the facts. no opinions ESPECIALLY no hidden opinions.
