Official History: Colbey is first and foremost a Renshai, a tribe of Northern swordsmen. Renshai swordsmen are nigh unbeatable, and Colbey was the best of all Renshai warriors when he still walked the mortal plane. The Golden-haired Prince of Demons is also one of Thor's sons and by no choice of his own the cause of Ragnarok. After surviving and saving Midgard from it's preordained doom he took his place in Asgard as the Keeper of the Balance. He married Freya and has a teenaged son of his own Ravn, both father and son have a vested interest in keeping the proper line of kings on Bearn's throne thus continuing the balance Colbey strives to keep between Law and Chaos.
Personality: Despite being a demi-god Colbey is first and foremost a Renshai and remains true to his code of honor as one of these warriors. Death in combat is the ultimate honor, cowardice in battle the ultimate shame. Colbey has acheived neither, but over the past 380 years has never ceased his sword practice even if he shall never enter Valhalla in the traditional manner. He is a swordsman first but is calm, rational, and more intelligent than people give him credit for being 'just a blood-thirsty Renshai'.
Special Abilities: Colbey's skills as a swordsman come from a lifetime, about 380 years worth, of practice and combat. One of the two swords he wields, Harval, is a reflection of Midgard's balance. He also possesses some talents as a telepath from inadvertantly having been the Western Wizard, though he doesn't give them much credence. He can read thoughts and can pick up public thoughts without trying, but finds it impolite to actively read someone's mind without permission or damned good reason. His mental shields are nigh unbreakable, Odin himself was the only match for the Renshai's shields which were built beating down the collective consciousnesses of hundreds of Western Wizards.
Weaknesses: It is possible for a strong enough mental power to breach Colbey's shields, but risks trapping themself in the warrior's mind. He picks up most thoughts unintentionally like a switch that he cannot turn off. Both reflexive reactions are a double edged sword.
