Juraviel: *sits in a huge oak tree in the gardens by the lake, lounging on one of the low-hanging branches, smiling to himself at the unusual precipitation*
Akira: *appears in the garden quite a ways from Juraviel, landing on his ass. He crosses his legs and leans back against a bush, looking up at the snow*
Rion: *is tossed out a portal, landing in the lake with a resounding splash*
Juraviel: *snorts back a laugh, shaking his head at the Patron's sense of humour and hops down from the tree to see if the newcomer requires any help*
Rion: *surfaces coughing up water* What the *cough hack* What the hell?!
Akira: *closes his eyes and rests*
Juraviel: *calls out to Rion* It should only be waist deep, friend!
Rion: *slides his feet underneath, the water more along the lines of chest high, but tolerable* Thanks. *blinks as he sees snow hitting the water and looks up*
Juraviel: *chuckles softly* Interesting weather for this time of year, is it not? At least you've no reason to fear catching cold, though, am I right?
Rion: *holds out a hand to catch a flake*
*the flake simply rests in Rion's hand a moment, then dissapears, leaving not even a drop of water behind*
Juraviel: Be that as it may, you are getting no less soaked by remaining in the water... *calls out to Rion once more*
Rion: *looks around a bit more, as if expecting something to leap out at him* Where the hell am I?
Juraviel: *smiles* You are among friends, no enemy will find you here. Join me on dry land and I shall explain in greater detail.
Rion: *looks at Juraviel with suspicion, but heads for the shore*
Juraviel: *steps back to look up at Rion when he steps from the water, bowing slightly at the waist* First of all, introductions are in order, I think. I am called Belli'mar Juraviel.
Rion: ...Rion. So what the hell is going on Belli'mar?
Juraviel: *chuckles* Juraviel, if you please... and, in response to your question, you have been brought here to be given a chance to find what you once had, and had once lost.
Rion: Come again?
Juraviel: *chuckles again* Forgive me... *gestures for Rion to follow him, and takes a few steps in the direction of a dirt pathway* You are here for respite, my friend.
Rion: *follows hesitantly, eyes still searching for an ambush*
Juraviel: *glances back at Rion* This place is called the Fall Inne, created by magic to serve as a refuge, so to speak.
Rion: Magic? *chuckles* There's no such thing
Juraviel: *near laughs outright* Isn't there? *as he starts leading Rion down the path, towards the Inne itself*
Eiji: *falls with a yelp into the garden, near Akira*
Akira: *opens his eyes*
Eiji: *thump* Owww! *whines* That coulda been niiiicer!
Rion: *sighs and keeps on following, head lifting to take in the building, or more importantly, all the vegetation around said building* [Wow]
Akira: *looks around and spots Eiji* Are you alright?
Eiji: *stops his whining to look at Akira* Yep, nya! *grins*
Akira: Good. *rests back against the bush*
Eiji: *gets up and bounces over to him* Who are you?
Akira: *blinks* I'm Touya Akira. And you?
Eiji: Kikumaru Eiji! *grins*
Juraviel: *smiles a bit as he looks back at the young man, watching his reactions to his surroundings* You are not accustomed to places such as this, I can see.
Akira: Nice to meet you.
Eiji: You too, nya~! What are you doing here all alone?
Rion: *shakes his head* Why such an elaborate illusion? Or is this yet another mind game?
Akira: Resting.
Eiji: That's boring! Come with me, and we can play tennis or something!
Akira: No thank you...I'm tired.
Eiji: *groans* You can't be too tired to play tennis!
Akira: *smiles a bit* I don't play tennis. And I'm very tired.
Juraviel: *cants his head to the side, his tiny gossamer wings fluttering briefly* Nothing of the sort. What you see here is as real as you are. *pauses in front of the great, wooden doors leading to the Entryway*
Eiji: Hoi hoi! *takes Akira's hand* Come ooooooonnnnnn!!!
Akira: *sighs and gets up*
Rion: As real as snow that isn't cold?
???: *drops with a soft thud a few feet behind Juraviel and Rion*
Eiji: *grins and glomps Akira* Great! Come on!
Juraviel: And living statues, and a lake that can be as deep as an ocean, frozen in the summertime, and trees with leaves the colour of the sky... *blinks and turns around at the sound* Ah, we have company...
Akira: *sighs softly* I'm coming...
Eiji: *smiles widely at him*
Akira: *follows along grudgingly*
Eiji: *starts to wander around* Now... where would a tennis court be!?
Akira: I'm not playing tennis.
Eiji: Why not? It's lots and lots and lots of fun!
Akira: It's a sport. I don't do sports.
Eiji: It can be really really fun, though!
Akira: I'm sure it can be fun for you, but not for me.
Eiji: You haven't even tried it, have you?
Akira: No, it's a sport. I don't play sports. None at all.
Eiji: You can't tell if you like it yet! Come ooooooonnnnnn! Please??? *gives puppy eyes*
Akira: ...No.
Eiji: *pouts*
Akira: I'm sorry Eiji, I don't play sports, nor do I want to.
Rion: Hmm? *turns as well*
Eiji: You have to at least give it a try!
???: *looks around and blinks*
Akira: I'd really rather not.
Eiji: You might like it, though!
Juraviel: *moves over to ???'s side, offering a hand to help him up* Are you alright, friend?
Rion: *puts a hand on his hip and watches as Juraviel lifts the stranger to his feet*
???: *takes Juraviel's hand and hoists himself back to his feet nimbly* Hai, hai....This one has seen much worse than that. *smiles*
Rion: *looks a bit harder at the stranger, wondering if they're male or female*
Juraviel: *smiles in return* In that case, then, I welcome you, as well, to the Fall Inne. I am called Juraviel.
???: *bows politely* Himura Kenshin, rurouni...
Rion: Rion Steiner.
Kenshin: *looks over at Rion and gives a smile* A pleasure to meet you.
Rion: *nods*
Akira: I won't.
Eiji: Just try it! You have to try everything!"
Akira: ...I do?
Juraviel: A pleasure, Himura Kenshin. *looks between the two, and smiles knowingly before starting towards the Inne doors once more* Timely arrival, I say... conducting the same tour twice is quite tiring.
Eiji: *nods* Yep! You have to make sure that you absolutely hate it first! You won't! It's going to be lots and lots of fun, I promise, nya!
Kenshin: Tour? *blinks and looks around* How far out of Tokyo did this one wander?
Akira: I really don't want to.
Eiji: Pleeeaaaase?
Juraviel: *chuckles softly as he pulls one of the large doors open* Farther than he's ever wandered before, and to a place that his feet alone could never carry him.
Kenshin: *blinks again, obviously confused* Oro?
Akira: I really don't want to though.
Eiji: *pouts more*
Rion: *raises an eyebrow* Oro?
Juraviel: *ushers Rion and Kenshin into the Entryway, flexing his wings slowly, trying not to laugh once again* My, is there an echo?
Akira: *sighs*
Meier: *lands with a clattering thud in the entryway, the vampire staying still a moment before pulling himself tiredly to his feet, dusting himself off self consciously*
Rion: What the hell does Oro mean?
Eiji: *whines a bit*
Kenshin: *smiles* A sound effect this one has picked up over time.....pay it no mind....
Akira: *sighs a bit more*
Rion: If you say so.
Eiji: *looks at him with his best pathetic look*
Vanyel: *walks down the stairs and into the entryway, blinking at the gathering* Well, this explains much.....
Kenshin: *the smile doesn't fade in the least, even as his eyes take in his surroundings*
Meier: *looks around, nodding to the others* Hello.
Akira: ...I don't want to.
Rion: So you mind telling me why I'm here? And don't give me that 'retreat' excuse
Eiji: *nearly falls over with a whine* Maaaaan!
Vanyel: This place has been established for those whose homeworlds seem intent on driving them to madness.
Juraviel: *looks over, spotting the Herald, and smiles, before turning his attention back to the two* Told the same thing in different ways, you have been. *chuckles lightly*
Akira: Look, I'm sure that tennis is something you enjoy, like I enjoy Go, but you may not like Go, like I don't like spors.
Rion: *glances at Meier, blinking at the unusually pale skin before he turns back to Vanyel* I think you're a bit late
Eiji: You don't even know! I'd try to play this... this go thing if you wanted me tooo!"
Vanyel: *shrugs* We are not perfect, Rion Steiner.
Meier: *chuckles softly* It is a boon. And if you have already been driven mad, a balm. *smiles*
Akira: I don't but I certainly wouldn't try and force you to play.
Rion: *crosses his arms* And just why would I want to relax when I've lives to save?
Eiji: *whines*
Vanyel: How much good are you going to do those lives if you are wound too tightly to be of any use?
Akira: I'm sorry, I really don't want to play.
Rion: What good will I be if I'm not at least trying? There isn't enough time to take a holiday.
Eiji: Okaaaay... can you come talk to me while I practice, then?
Meier: *crosses his arms, looking around, studying the new place*
Juraviel: You have all the time in the world, Rion... rest assured. *as he walks by, intent on the front desk*
Akira: *blinks* Uhhh...I...guess.
Rion: *sighs* And just when do you plan to take me back where I came from?
Eiji: *cheers and glomps him* Cool, then! Now, we gotta find a court...
Vanyel: When the Powers that be decide you are fit to return.
Akira: *nods*
Eiji: *starts to wander more, then finds the court* Great! They have one!
Juraviel: It varies.. could be in an hour, or in a day. In either case, you will have lost no precious time in your own world. *hops up onto the front desk, seating himself on it* A result of the magic that does not exist. *winks*
Rion: *sighs* Now you're making no sense
Akira: *follows him quietly*
Meier: *shakes his head, lips quirked in amusement as he starts moving around, going to the front desk to look it over*
Eiji: *looks at the rackets and gets one out, grinning at it* Perfect!
Juraviel: In time, I will. *smiles at Rion, glancing over at Meier* I am pleased that there is one who is familiar with this sort of place.. *said for Meier's ears alone*
Akira: *sits nearby*
Eiji: *starts stretching to warm up, quite flexible*
Akira: *crosses his legs, rests his elbows on his knees and rests his chin on his hands* [I hope...I see him again soon.]
Rion: *sighs* Fine, whatever, can I at least get some dry clothes?
Eiji: *grins to himself, then finds some weights, putting them on his ankles and wrists*
Meier: *nods, lowering his voice* Yes... it is familiar, though I have never been here to the Fall. My invitation was.... startling. /Can you speak in this manner, perchance?/
Akira: *watches Eiji absent-mindedly*
Juraviel: *nods, dissapearing behind the desk a moment before reappearing with three keys in hand, holding one out to Rion* Of course. I was in the process of arranging such a thing, in fact. /In a manner, yes./ *to Meier*
Rion: *looks at the key, then accepts it, looking at it curiously* What's this for?
Meier: *nods* /Ah. It was an idle question really, a mere curiousity./
Eiji: *finds the tennis balls and starts to practice his serving*
Akira: *yawns*
Eiji: *notices Akira yawning and walks over* What's wrong?
Juraviel: As has been said, you are here to recuperate. You have been provided accomadations. That is the key to your personal chambers. *smiles* /I see. Well, to further answer your question, I speak this way only when spoken to. I cannot do so naturally./
Akira: Nothing, I'm watching. *smiles a bit*
Vanyel: /*chuckles* And you both speak quite loudly./
Eiji: You yawned! Why so tired?
Juraviel: *to Vanyel* /And *you* eavesdrop./
Kenshin: *has set to examining his surroundings a littel more closely*
Akira: I just am, it's fine.
Vanyel: /Indeed not. I merely listen..../
Eiji: *grins at him* Really, why?
Meier: *chuckles, claret eyes flicking to Vanyel* /I would apologize for volume, but I have no way of regulating it. *looks back to Juraviel* /Indeed? Interesting./
Rion: /And all of you need to improve your shielding. Gods...just shout why don't you?/
Akira: I was up early and I had a hard time sleeping.
Vanyel: *smiles and turns toward Rion* /I could, if you like. Or perhaps interest you in a game of catch with our shared Fetching abilities?/
Eiji: *nods* oooooohhhhhh.....
Akira: *smiles a bit*
Rion: /I beg your pardon?/ *looks at the number on the key, part of him occupied with the thought of shedding his wet leather, but not wanting to offend by dropping them there and then*
Eiji: *grins*
Juraviel: *laughs softly, leaving one of the keys on the counter and pushing it towards Meier before jumping down, walking over to where Kenshin is studying the woodwork* Have you any questions, Himura Kenshin?
Vanyel: *chuckles* /Go and change, friend Rion, and then I will show you. That may be easier./
Akira: *goes back to watching*
Kenshin: *softly* Why is this one here? Things have become peaceful in my home again...
Eiji: *starts to work on his acrobatics, hitting the ball against the wall*
Meier: *bows slightly toward Rion and Vanyel* /I shall work on lowering my 'voice' then./ *picks up the key, studying it before slipping it in a pocket* Many thanks.
Vanyel: *chuckles* /Do not be too concerned with it, Meier Link. I have a feeling most of us are unused to dealing with Adepts similar to ourselves..../
Akira: *yawns a bit, stiffling it*
Rion: *nods* /All right/ *sidesteps Kenshin, vaguely intriged by the ruroni's scent, before he heads up the stairs to find his room*
Eiji: *sees it again and then catches the ball, looking at him* Well, if you are really that tired, you should go to sleep!
Juraviel: *to Van and Meier* /And some do not possess control over their abilities./ *mental chuckle as he looks up at Kenshin* Not all are here for the same sort of respite, my friend.
Akira: No thanks. I'm fine.
Kenshin: Perhaps. *the consistant smile on his face falters a moment*
Eiji: Okay, then.....
Meier: *nods, considering* /I see. We shall simply have to learn, shall we not?/ *studies the ruroni a moment*
Akira: *nods*
Vanyel: /Indeed./ *reclines comfortably against the desk*
Eiji: *grins*
Akira: *smiles a bit*
Rion: *looks at the key in his hand, then at one of the doors, smiling when they match and inserts it*
Eiji: *moves back to the middle of the court*
Akira: *watches uninterestedly*
Juraviel: *said softly* You will find what will save you from madness here as well, Himura... you have only to seek out what is already plain to see. *holds up a key to the redhead*
Meier: *shakes his head slowly and pulls out his key, meandering up to see his room and explore*
Eiji: *soon finishes with practicing, and stretches, taking the weights off*
Kenshin: *blinks, then takes the key and fixes the smile on his lips again* You are overly concerned with this one.
Akira: *watches Eiji*
Eiji: wanna go do something else? You look waaaaay bored, nya!
Akira: Like what?
Eiji: I dunno, but I wanna see everything here! It's so big, I wanna check out everything!
Juraviel: And you are observant. *smiles warmly, if a bit wistfully*
Akira: Um...okay I guess...
Eiji: *grins* Come on! Let's go! *takes Akira's arm*
Kenshin: *raises an eyebrow* This one tries.
Akira: *is pulled up and along*
Rion: *enters the room, smiling at the decor.* Now this is nice. *peels off his clothes, laying them over the backs of chairs to dry as he begins to explore his new room*
Juraviel: That will serve you well in this place.... speaking of which, would you like to be shown more of it? I would hate for one to lose his way in these halls.
Eiji: *starts bouncing around the place, looking around excitedly*
Akira: *follows along behind him slower*
Rion: *finishes his mini tour by climbing onto the bed, spread-eagled, and completely nude, snuggling the soft comforter*
Kenshin: *Smiles a bit* That would be best, that it would....This one is not accustomed to such luxury...
Eiji: *looks like a child in a candy store as he looks around* Wow, this place is so cool!
Akira: Ah. *looks up at the snow*
Eiji: *bounces with a grin*
Akira: *goes and takes a seat in the garden again* I think I'll stay here and rest.
Juraviel: *smiles and gestures to the Hall leading to the West wing* I am much the same, it is not suited to my tastes, however pleasing to the eye.
Eiji: Why?
Kenshin: *nods a bit and waits for Juraviel to lead*
Akira: I'm still tired, that's all.
Rion: *dozes lightly, unaware he left his door cracked*
Vanyel: *with a smile to himself, heads back upstairs*
Eiji: Well, we can go inside over there and find somewhere comfy to lay down!
Akira: *shakes his head* It's nice out here.
Juraviel: *gives a nod and a smile to Vanyel as they pass him, leading the rurouni down the hall, pausing to give him a short explanation of each different room as they pass it*
Kenshin: *listens attentively, that smile ever on his lips as he takes in the surroundings*
Eiji: *pouts a bit* Okaaaaaay
Akira: *draws his knees to his chest*
Eiji: *bounces around idly*
Juraviel: *as they head back towards the Entryway and the East wing* My superiors have spared no detail in the construct of this place... there are several levels, and it would take you days to see the full extent of the grounds...
Kenshin: This one can believe that...
Akira: *watches Eiji*
Eiji: *stares up at the sky*
Juraviel: *smiles back at the rurouni* Also, I must give you sufficient warning.. there are harmless beings that aid with matters of this place - ghost maids, and the like. If you spot them, be sure that they mean no disturbance.
Kenshin: This one shall...keep that in mind, though it will pose a curiousity indeed.
Akira: *sighs and closes his eyes*
Eiji: *looks over at him* sleeping?
Akira: No...
Eiji: YOu should, if you are tired.
Juraviel: *laughs softly* Of course. *continues showing Kenshin the remainder of the rooms on the main floor, ending off with the meditation room*
Akira: *smiles* It's alright.
Kenshin: *looks into the Meditation Room, and blinks, then smiles a little and steps out of his sandals, entering the room*
Eiji: But you're tired! It's really unhealthy to not sleep!
Akira: It's not time to sleep anyway. I'll be just fine.
Eiji: It's not healthy!
Akira: I'm fine.
Juraviel: *smiles, having an inclination that this room would appeal to the man* I think this is where we shall part for now, Himura Kenshin...
Eiji: *rolls his eyes* Those go games make you unhealthy!
Akira: ...How so?
Rion: *wakes up a while later, not even aware he'd drifted off and lifts his head* Hmmm? *blinks at the plush surroundings* [Where?]
Kenshin: *nods* Domo arigatou for the tour, Juraviel-dono....
Eiji: Because you sit around and then have bad sleep and become all unhealthy! It could cause problems for you when you get older!
Akira: *blinks*
Eiji: It's true!
Akira: Really, it's fine.
Juraviel: *bows at the waist* We shall meet again. If you have questions or concerns, feel free to seek me out. *smiles once more and slips from the room*
Kenshin: *smiles a bit and settles down, finding the room very soothing and slipping easily into a meditative state*
Eiji: Not really! When you have a stroke when you're older it's not going to be so fine!
Akira: I won't have a stroke. *closes his eyes irritably*
Eiji: You will if you keep not sleeping right!
Juraviel: *glances around the empty Entryway as he passes through it, heading back to the gardens*
Akira: It's just one night.
Eiji: I bet it is more than just one night a lot.
Akira: *sighs and ignores Eiji*
Eiji: *notices this* Fine, don't listen! But it's going to get you one day! *pouts*
Akira: Yeah, yeah. You don't know about it anyway.
Eiji: I do better than you think!
Akira: No, you don't.
Rion: *blinks* Well...I guess maybe it isn't a dream. *sits up and goes to check on his clothes, frowning when they're still wet* Hmmm...maybe I can get one from a gift shop. Most hotels at least sell robes.
Eiji: *sighs*
Akira: *sighs and curls up tighter, looking away from Eiji*
Eiji: I just wanna help, you know.
???: *appears in the library, arms raised to cover his face as if expecting a blow to come from an unknown source, slowly lowering them when the expected blast does not occur*
Akira: You can't.
Eiji: I bet I can, but you don't wanna let me.
Akira: *sighs, exhasperated*
Colbey: *looks up from a book that he'd been chuckling over* Oh, about time...I was getting a bit bored, lad.
Eiji: *shakes his head*
Akira: *looks up to the sky*
???: *blinks at the unfamiliar voice, starting a bit at his apparent displacement* F-forgive me? I'd no idea I was late for any kind of engagement...
Eiji: *sighs* Well, if you ever admit to wanting help, I can help, nya.
Akira: I don't want help.
Colbey: *shrugs* Eh, gateways work that way sometimes... Relax. I'm not going to eat you.
Eiji: You're gonna need it soon. *grins* I'll see you later, nya!
Rion: *pulls the complimentary towel around his hips and heads back downstairs*
Juraviel: *takes to the trees, eventually drawn to the other two presences in the garden, watching them silently and unseen from one of the high branches*
Akira: *sighs* Goodbye.
Eiji: *waves and then bounces off*
???: I should hope not... I'm probably quite stringy... *looking around, still a little unsure of his surroundings*
Juraviel: *watches as Eiji runs off, silently slipping from the trees, landing on the ground a few metres from Akira with barely a sound*
Akira: *turns his attention to Juraviel and looks away again*
Kenshin: *his meditative trance is less than comforting, an small yet familiar internal battle taking place*
Colbey: *closes the book and sets it aside, the spine indicating it is one on Norse mythology* I'm sure there are those that would find you quite appetizing. But you'll have to find those individuals out on your own. *smiles*
???: I'd rather not, really... {Luka, this had better not be your doing... again...} *sighs softly* I wouldn't suppose you'd be able to tell me just where in hell I am, would you?
Juraviel: *very slowly approaches the young man* We meet again, Touya Akira.. *smiles a bit*
Akira: *looks at him again* ...Hello.
Colbey: You are now a guest at the Fall Inne, for rest, relaxation, and any other pleasures you may find here.
???: *closes his eyes a moment, almost rocking back on his heels at the amount of magic his sense picks up* {Incredible... what *is* this place?} A guest? For how long? *blinks, suddenly remembering something* Oh, no! My lab!
Juraviel: *comes to lean against a tree* The grounds are quite lovely at night, are they not?
Colbey: *chuckles* Relax, lad. Things are just as you left them, you'll be here until you unwind a little.
Rion: *starts peeking into the various rooms on the ground floor, in search of a gift shop, not at all concerned the towel is just barely covering the essentials*
Akira: Yeah, I guess. *sighs and stares at the sky again* Did you need something...I think it's Juraviel..?
Kenshin: *Hears footsteps in the hall, but disregards them, sliding back to consciousness slowly*
Rion: *looks in on the meditation room and spies the redhead from earlier, seemingly just sitting in the middle of the floor* Hello?
Kenshin: *blinks and glances over his shoulder, his pensive expression replaced in a breath by a smile* Hello there.
???: Just as I'd left them... probably not the best thing... *said softly as his eyes move to the window, glancing out at the moonlit grounds* What has brought me here? Did I seem to be terribly in need of a vacation?
Juraviel: *nods* It is... and no, I need nothing when I am under these skies. You, however, seem to be needing something, though.
Rion: I'm sorry to disturb you, but do you know where I might aquire a robe or some kind of clothing?
Colbey: The powers that be dictate...yes, you need a break. And whatever you were doing in your lab will be unchanged...like you never left.
Akira: No...not really.
Kenshin: From your room, this one would think....
???: As I've said, that might not be for the best... but... when do I return, and am I alone in this place, aside from you, of course?
Juraviel: Not really... an evasive answer that conceals another meaning. *looks over at the young man*
Akira: Hmph. I need something that no one can help me with...that's all.
Colbey: You'll return to your home when it is time and not before...neither you nor I decide that. And no one is ever truly alone here, other guests come and go as schedules dictate. There is always at least one Bouncer present and our Patrons do as they see fit. So someone is always about.
Rion: But I didn't bring any clothes, and the ones I was wearing are wet. As the matter stands I would have to borrow the robe. I'm afraid I've no money
Juraviel: You miss him.
Akira: Heh...five minutes...that's all I need...at minimum. You told me I'd see him again...it's just...been so long...*sighs*
Kenshin: *stands* Let's have a look through your room, shall we? This one has seen no shop like you speak of, which says that likely the room will provide what you need....
???: *arches a brow, but nods* Alright... I'm still not yet certain what to make of all this... how is it that *I*, of all people, have caught your.. "Patrons'" eye, when there are most certainly others who deserve this...
Juraviel: Your life is short, my friend, I can imagine how a week, or a month could seem long... but you will see him again... I have not told you a lie.
Akira: Yeah...well...we'll see when that happens. *curls up tighter*
Rion: *blinks, and muddles through the odd ennuciation before nodding* Thank you.
Kenshin: *walks to the door and slips on his sandals again* Will you show this one the way?
Rion: *nods* It's not far...just up the stairs.
Colbey: *shrugs, standing up with a small clink as the swords settle easily back into their natural position* I don't ask why guests are picked... I'm just here to keep an eye on things. If you're here, then you need to be.
Kenshin: Then after you.
Juraviel: *looks down at Akira* I have never understood the human need to see in order to believe... *looks up at the sky, reaching out and letting the phantom snowfall land in his palm*
???: Hmm... curiouser and curiouser, as it has been said before... I suppose there is little to be done about it, then... thank you for explaining, though I have a thousand more questions...
Akira: I just want to hug him again and be in his arms...that's all...*sighs*
Vanyel: *from near Akira and Juraviel* Just be grateful, Touya Akira, that you're being given a chance to be reunited.
Rion: *smiles and leads the way to his room, once again intrigued by the oddly enticing scent surrounding the samarai*
Colbey: *quirks an eyebrow* Many questions, I'm sure you can find some answers around here somewhere.
Kenshin: *follows, his steps almost silent as he walks, that smile fixed on his face as they walk, his sword tapping reassuringly at his hip as he moves*
Juraviel: /*with a fond mental tone* Eavesdropper.../ *smiles at the Herald, nonetheless*
Vanyel: /Empathy speaks in tones I cannot ignore.... *with a kind mental note back*/
Akira: A chance...so he might actually not ever come...*hangs his head* I shouldn't have let him go to come here.
Vanyel: *sharply* If you have been told your lover will be reunited with you here, then you will *be* reunited. *tone drops* Some of us will not be so fortunate.
Rion: *opens the door to his room and spreads his arms to indicate it* See? Empty save my wet ones. *points at the wet leather*
???: *said idly, starting to glance around the room curiously* Perhaps... since I'm sure you'd rather not be bothered...
Kenshin: *steps into the room, slipping his sandals off at the door and looking around, before his eyes rest on a wardrobe* Have you looked in there?
Akira: *says nothing but burries his head in his arms*
Juraviel: *stays silent, his golden eyes moving from the Herald to the young man, his face expressionless*
Vanyel: *feels a pang in his heart but, turns from Akira and speaks softly* Have a bit of faith in this place, Touya Akira.... *Softly* Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to tend to Yfandes... *heads for the stables*
Colbey: You're not bothering me, lad. I wouldn't have agreed to this job if it was a bother.
Akira: *his shoulders tremble a little but he says nothing, mentally cursing many people, including himself*
Juraviel: *sends a tendril of sympathy and understanding to Van as he walks away before kneeling at Akira's side* Vanyel means well with every word he speaks, and he speaks them truthfully, Akira...
Vanyel: *picks up on the tendril, and sends a tiny one of thanks back before slamming down his shields, effectively cutting himself off completely to such contact*
Akira: Just leave me alone...I don't care. If I'd never known anyone I wouldn't be feeling like this.
???: I suppose not... well, perhaps you can tell me the name of the one who brought me here? He must be a great wizard to have created all this... *gaze drifts to Colbey's manner of dress, studying its every detail*
Rion: *shakes his head* No, I didn't put anything inside, what would I take out?
Kenshin: This one believes that this Inne is not your standard establishment. Look inside.
Colbey: *laughs* Far as I know, not a single one of the powers that be is a wizard. But powerful beings none the less.
Juraviel: *sighs* My friend gave himself much pain to come out here to help open your eyes, and still you refuse to see.
Akira: That he'll come here sometime. I got that.
???: What sort of powerful beings? *looks out the window once more* Where exactly *is* this place? Have I simply been transported to a different place, or.. *looking Colbey over again* A different... time... perhaps?
Juraviel: Obviously you did not, or you would realize you are acting quite the fool.
Colbey: I don't know if it's my place to give detailed descriptions. However such questions about our Patrons can be answered in the gallery upstairs. But the where and the when is quite simply the middle of nowhere.
Akira: *stays silent*
Eiji: *poofs*
???: That's a little vague.... *cants his head to the side a little* ...upstairs, you say?
Rion: *shrugs and opens the wardrobe, blinking at ll the clothes inside* Oh...*blushes* Ohhhhq
Kenshin: *chuckles softly* Well, it seems you've found what you're looking for...This one had best, perhaps, leave you be now?
Colbey: *nods* Upstairs on the second floor. Would you care to see, lad?
Juraviel: Have you ever lost your arm, Touya Akira?
Rion: *smiles* That's okay. I actually don't mind the company. *let the towel drop and pulls out some fresh clothes*
Akira: No.
Kenshin: *turns respectfully as the towel drops* If you're certain.
???: *nods, bringing a hand up to push up his glasses* Yes, very much so... if you do not mind showing me the way...
Juraviel: Can you imagine, for a moment, what that loss would mean to you, physically?
Colbey: Not at all. *starts toward the hall door, hands comfortably close to the twin blades* I think you're going to like it here, Luel.
Akira: *softly* No.
Luel: *takes a step, about to follow, but stops again when his name is spoken* ... what? How did you...? Oh, blast, never mind.. *as he begins following the Bouncer once more*
Rion: Very certain. *pulls on some scandously tight hip huggers and a crop top* Ahh...dry clothes.
Kenshin: *taking that comment to mean Rion is dressed, turns and manages to fight back the blush that tries to rise to his cheeks*
Juraviel: Mmm. I can. It would be something terrible. Crippling. It would cause you unbelievable pain for the rest of your life, for there would be countless things you would be unable to do. Am I correct?
Akira: I guess so...
Colbey: *smiles at the wizard* Can't be waiting for you if I don't know who I'm waiting for, now I can I? *starts toward the Main Hall* There are several rooms down here that you might care to explore later.
Rion: *turns and gives Kenshin a smile* Thanks for the advice. I never would have expected clothes to be in the drawers of a hotel.
Luel: *nods as they move through the hall, speaking softly* I will, at least, return to explore the library, if nothing else...
Kenshin: Although this place is called an Inne, this one believes that it is an Inne in name only....
Juraviel: Imagine, if a person who lost their arm met one who's arm had simply been broken. Have you broken an arm before, Touya Akira?
Akira: No.
Colbey: It's a good library even if some of the books are complete horse dung. *pauses next to the elaborate front desk* We should get you a room while we're still down here.
Rion: It certainly isn't like any Inne I can recall
Juraviel: *shakes his head* No matter... but can you see my point? One who has lost an arm cannot possibly find sympathy for one who has simply been dealt an injury that they will eventually recover from.
Kenshin: Nor like anything this one has seen.....
Luel: *looks up, eyes widening at the immense demon face on the wall* Oh, my....
Akira: Yeah, I follow Juraviel.
Colbey: *goes behind the desk rummaging for a room key, not sparing a glance at Xanth's face* Don't let him faze you, he always looks like he got up on the wrong side of the bed.
Juraviel: *softly* Both Vanyel and I have lost our arms... we believe your fracture easily mended, but you must have patience.
Luel: *still looking up at the stone fixture* Not exactly the most pleasant thing to have out in the open, now is it?
Akira: *sighs and closes his eyes again* Yeah, I know. Be patient. Hang on. You'll see him again...I...I got it. I don't want your pity...I don't think you understand me either.
Colbey: *takes out a key and offers it to the distacted wizard* It's there for a reason. He can't stand not keeping a weather eye on things down here.
Juraviel: No. Perhaps not. I am unable to understand why you agreed to your invitation to this place if being here causes you nothing but grief.
Luel: *without looking at Colbey, reaches up and takes the key* He?
Colbey: Guest rooms start on the 3rd floor, you'll be in number 81. *finally glances back at the stone portrait* Yeah, that would be one of our esteemed Patrons.
Akira: Because...I thought perhaps I'd find some friends...and figured as long as I could see my lover it would be okay. It's not though, because he's not here. I've lost my own arm in your analogy, it just wasn't my lover.
Luel: *blinks rapidly* Oh... do they all look as such? I'm.. not sure I'd care to meet them after all...
*voice behind Luel* No, no, we do not *all* look as does he....
Juraviel: What was your arm then, Touya Akira? *glances over at the young man*
Luel: *turns around slowly, unsure of what to expect*
Colbey: *shrugs* Speak of the devil.
Mad Hatter: *stands in a well-tailored suit and a black fedora sporting a bright blue feather, laughing at Colbey's comment* No no, One does not hold *that* esteemed position...though One is close to the ruler you speak of....
Akira: *sighs and shakes his head* My family...I gave up my few friends because this place was supposed to be fun. I have no one to help me move on without having him at my side all of the time...Sorry, I don't want to make it eem like a call for your pity, Juraviel. I was dependant on Raphael to help me...and I haven't seen him and I need him. I'm sorry for upsetting you but I'm dealing with my life as best I can. Sorry to trouble you.
Colbey: *amused expression* Proof of coming from different worlds.
Luel: *looks the Hatter up and down, a bit perplexed by the exchange between the two* Well, you're much easier on the eyes than that fellow on the wall, I must say...
Mad Hatter: *laughs merrily* Do you think so? *grins* One tries One's best.
*a voice speaks from an unseen source* I *should* be insulted, shouldn't I?
Colbey: *mutters and leans against the counter* I'm staying out of this one.
Juraviel: Your arms were not twisted when the invitation to come here was made. If you knew that your life would become unbearable without him, then you should have refused. We did *not* intend this to become a painful thing for you
Luel: *glances around for the source of the voice, looking a little uneasy* I.. beg your pardon? I meant nothing by it, truly...
Akira: *sighs, quietly* It's not your fault...I didn't always live with him...it'll be fine. I didn't realize how much I needed him. Just forget about me.
Mad Hatter: Truly, you scoundrel, you shouldn't scare the poor lad so.....
Rion: *smiles* Well, now that I'm clothed I do believe I'll explore a bit. I appreciate the help....Kenshin.
Kenshin: *bows respectfully* You're quite welcome. This one believes he may retire to his room now....he's had a most interesting day....
Rion: *smile widens* Feel free to call on me if I can ever assist you. *looks Kenshin over appraisingly* In any way.
Xanth's voice: Oh, he looks as if he could use a little excitement... *chuckles* I've said my bit, though, I'll leave you to it. Good night, good sirs, madams, or whatever else you lot are. *fades out*
Kenshin: *Blushes at the look* This one shall keep it in mind. Oyasumi...Rion.... *Slips from teh blonde's room to go find his own*
Rion: *dregs up the meaning of that word from somewhere in his memory* Oyasumi...Kenshin
Juraviel: I'm afraid I cannot do such a thing. But, my friend, you need to begin relying less on others, and more on yourself. *slowly rises to his feet*
Luel: *blinks a few more times* {I think I would have preferred the imminent explosion to disembodied voices and forced vacations...}
Akira: You should forget about me...*closes his eyes again, trembling a bit* Anyway, sorry about whomever you lost, you know? Hope things get better for you.
CasualOtaku has left the room.
Juraviel: I appreciate the thought, but waste no sympathy on me.. concentrate instead on finding your own strength. *smiles, giving the young man a pat on the head before walking away slowly*
Akira: I thought I had...*sighs and curls up tighter, closing his eyes again*
Mad Hatter: *smiles* So what think you of our establishment, Luel?
Luel: Ah.. well, from what I've seen, it's quite grand... a little perplexing, but grand nonetheless...
Mad Hatter: *chuckles* And what about it is so perplexing?
Juraviel: *once far enough from Akira, assuring himself that the young man is close enough to a path to find himself back to the Inne, takes to the trees, moving towards the stables*
Vanyel: *has taken to currycombing his Companion, his mind still tightly shut off, even from Yfandes*
Luel: Countless things... the magic involved.. the fact that, as I've been told, this place exists *nowhere*, as well as my own presence here... *chuckles softly* Not that I'm ungrateful, of course...
Mad Hatter: The magic involved is varied and powerful. This place is, essentially, nowhere, though if you really must have a name for this, we're in a bit of a pocket of Chaos.
Juraviel: *leaps from a branch just outside the stable, calling out softly* Vanyel... it may have been easier had you not spoken to the lad.
Vanyel: *gives a noncommital grunt, not ceasing in his task*
Luel: *eyes widen a touch* Well, I certainly believe the bit about this being powerful magic, then, if we are surrounded by Chaos... I suppose that would explain why my senses are trying to burst through my skull....
Mad Hatter: Oh! Of course, how silly of One....We should do something about that if it is painful...
Juraviel: He is young, my friend, he knows nothing more than his own pain and how deeply it runs... he will not listen to our reason... I apologize that your words were wasted.
Vanyel: It would not be the first time my words fell on deaf ears...nor is it likely to be the last...
Luel: *shakes his head and smiles* Oh, no, no, it's quite alright... it's only painful if I attempt to tap into my magic... that doesn't happen often, either, really, I'm fine.
Mad Hatter: If you're certain then.... *smiles pleasantly*
Juraviel: *leans against the stable door* The wisest words are more than often the ones that go unheard the most, regrettable as it is...
Vanyel: *leans against Yfandes' flank, barely moving as the Companion nuzzles him* And still I am fool enough to persist in saying them....
Luel: *nods* I am... *glances back at Colbey, then to the Mad Hatter* I... I thinkI should apologize to you both, I seem to have forgotten most of what I'd wanted to ask of you...
Colbey: Answers are always just around the corner when you remember the questions.
Mad Hatter: Colbey shall still show you the Gallery, that you may come to One or the others to have your questions of this place answered. For now, One shall take One's leave.
Juraviel: *chuckles softly* We are both fools, so at least you are not alone in that...
Mad Hatter: *With a bow and a flourish of the hat, the Patron vanishes*
Vanyel: I should rather that I was....
Colbey: *shakes his head and mutters* Such a one for drama...
Luel: *blinks at where the Patron once stood before turning back to Colbey* Drama is fine, as long as I don't go offending any more demons.. *still has a very quizzical look on his face as he looks up at the stone face*
Colbey: Well, mind your p's and q's then and I'm sure you'll get along fine here. *jots down which key he gave out and starts toward the circular stair*
Juraviel: *sighs softly, his expression saddening considerably* You would, Vanyel...
Luel: Perhaps I'll just keep such thoughts to myself, then... *examines the key briefly as he follows along behind Colbey*
Vanyel: I know his loss...better than he could imagine...I know what it is to make your love your world.... *is nuzzled again by Yfandes*
Colbey: *heads up the stairs until he reaches the second floor* This floor is dedicated to the two Galleries...one for guests *points to a door on his right* ..and one for Patrons *opens the one on the left and steps inside*
Juraviel: Mmhmm... he cannot understand it, though... he is so absorbed in his own pain. *turns around once more, pushing the stable door open a crack*
Vanyel: At least....he will see his lover again.... *brokenly*
Luel: Do the two galleries serve the same purpose, then? *steps into the room after Colbey, his jaw dropping at the immense sphere in the centre of the room* What.. what is *that*?
Colbey: All that I may tell you is *that* is a means to an end. More you'll have to learn on your own. As to the other gallery it merely holds portraits of the guests and a small art studio for those guest that are so inclined.
Juraviel: *steps into the stable, approaching Van slowly* He believes he will not...
Vanyel: But he will.....his lover still lives....*irritably throws the brush over with the rest of the grooming supplies*
Luel: A means to an end.... *repeated softly, tearing his eyes away from the sphere to glance about the room* So... these are the three who have made this place.. *as he looks over each painting in turn*
Colbey: *nods* The Three Patrons of the Fall Inne... all very proud of their handiwork and all accessible to any of the guests.
Juraviel: *frowns a moment, but understands the display of temper perfectly* And so, he will not lose what we both have lost. I am grateful for that.
Vanyel: In my more patient moments, I'm sure I will be, too....
Luel: *as he studies Rimble's portrait* What are their names?
Colbey: *chuckles* Ask him yourself he's not hard of hearing despite what he might feign.
Juraviel: I understand, friend.. there are limits to one's patience.. I regret that you had to reach yours this day, however...
Vanyel: *sighs* It was no fault of the boy's, he was merely a convenient target.... I've just been damnably lonely...
Luel: *looks over at Colbey* Just.. talk to the painting? *turns back to the portrait* Well, I've certainly done stranger things... *clears his throat softly* Um.. pardon me?
** the pair of mismatched eyes focuses on Luel, the figure in the portrait shifting to sit on the bottom of the frame heels swinging** What'cha want, bucko?
Juraviel: The solitude you force upon yourself at times can't possibly be helping that, you know.
Vanyel: *stiffens* It's often been necessary.... *softly*
Akira: *finally gets up and wanders towards the Inne, hands in his pockets as he moves slowly*
Luel: Ahhh... I was just wondering... your name.. this gentleman.. Colbey.. told me to ask, and so I have. I'm sorry if I'm disturbing you with such a trivial thing...
Rimble: *grins wickedly* Oh I've got many names, bucko, but you *taps his lips* can call me Rimble.
Juraviel: I know this well... and I mourn the necessity of your loneliness. Perhaps you are here for a reason aside from your duty, Van...
Akira: *enters the building and wanders up to the desk and waits, leaning against it*
Vanyel: And what other reason would that be, do you suppose?
*a key appears floating in front of Akira, with a note tied to it*
Akira: *blinks and takes the key and reads the note*
*Note reads: "Use me. Room 108. Change of clothes in the wardrobe, take advantage of everything you possibly can. You're not paying for it, right?" *
Akira: *pockets the key and his hands and begins his slow ascent up the stairs*
Juraviel: *shrugs* There is no painful necessity here, is there?
Vanyel: Not that has made itself known yet....
Luel: *raises an eyebrow, but smiles nonetheless* Rimble, then... thank you... and what of the other two? Or.. will I have to bother them, as well?
Juraviel: Doubtful it ever will. This is respite for *us* as well, you seem to forget.
Rimble: *cants his head to the side* Well, like it or not you've already sorta met the other two...Belial and Xanth...Although you are more than welcome to become formally acquainted with the windbag.
Vanyel: *softly* As I often do where duty is concerned.
Akira: *reaches the landing and heads down the hall, searching for his room*
Mad Hatter: *Turns in her portrait and razzes Rimble* One prefers to be called Mad Hatter...there is but a single man who may address One by One's given name....
Rimble: *snorts* Whatever you want, sweets...
Juraviel: *smiles a bit, slowly turning to leave* Perhaps you should relax as well, Vanyel... before both your world, and this one, both drive you to madness...
Vanyel: *Softly* Perhaps....
Akira: *finds his room and enters, shutting the door behind him before collapsing on his stomach on the bed and letting himself cry*
Xanth: *turns in his portrait as well, cocking an eyebrow at Rimble* Oh, so I'm a windbag, now, Trickster?
Luel: *watches the three a moment before slowly stepping away, glancing at Colbey and speaking lowly* Does this happen a lot?
Juraviel: I shall take my leave now, I think... *gives a slight bow* Until next we meet, Vanyel. *slips from the stable silently*
Rimble: *razz* You gonna deny it? I've heard you mooning over your lass... worse than Phebs you are.
Colbey: *lowly* Not too often, just sit back and enjoy the show.
Mad Hatter: *settles back into the portrait again, going silent*
Luel: *nods, lips forming a silent 'Ah', as he watches the exchange*
Xanth: Do I detect a note of... jealousy perhaps, hm? *puts a hand on his hip*
Rimble: Not a chance, loverboy. I'm more than happy as a swinging bachelor.
Xanth: *snorts* If you say so. Well, gentlemen.. and Rimble... if there's nothing else, I'll be off. *glances to Luel and Colbey a moment and smiles before the painting once again goes inanimate*
Rimble: *snorts* Such a snooty git.
Luel: *covers his mouth to hide the amused smile on his lips* I'll not say anything to agree to that, sir, I think my mouth's gotten me into enough trouble tonight.
Colbey: *softly so Luel can hear* Nah, leave Rimble to stir up the hornets nest then.
Luel: *to Colbey* Probably wise... *turns to Rimble's portrait* Thank you for your time, in any case. I appreciate it.
Rimble: *waves a hand nonchalantly* Anytime you wish it young wizard.
Luel: I'll keep that in mind.. maybe I'll remember my questions later.. *feels a yawn threatening, covering his mouth before it can escape* ... tomorrow, perhaps.
Rimble: *chuckles* Off to bed with you then, I'm not going anywhere. *hops back up into the frame proper and lounges in the chair there*
Luel: *smiles a bit, then turns to Colbey* Thank you as well for humouring me.
Colbey: It was a pleasure Luel. I'll see you around sometime again.
Luel: *nods and smiles* Of course.. good night, and thanks again. *turns to leave, heading back down the stairs to the second floor to search out his given room*
