{enfants terribles} is a pk clan proposal by santiago. there have been posts on the boards and an article in the legendary times about this proposal, and previously information was given by request only, however, we feel this has made would-be inquirers harder to come by and have decided to post the information outright, in order that interested persons may contact us immediately. {enfants terribles} is a new breed of pk clan -- while it will be classified as a pk clan, there are several fundamental differences between {enfants terribles} and the other pk clans currently in existence on legend. the first major difference is the focus on rp as well as pk, since as far as i know, no pk clan currently enforces its members to maintain some semblance of rp. please note that this does not mean you must be an enthusiast about roleplay in order to become a member, only that you must have an rp concept for your character and maintain that rp when applicable. also, please see below about ranking and profiling for {enfants terribles}
what type of clan is it? {enfants terribles} is a clan made up of noble men and women with singular taste. only the highborn or those with singular tastes will be considered for joining. you must also be willing to participate in the lost art of the duel -- dueling is considered the noblest and most elegant art form - you must strive to epitomize the beauty of that art in all that you do. {enfants terribles} is not just a pk clan, it's an rp clan as well, and its members will be expected to play the part. you needn't be a snob... just please remember that you're better than everyone else. ;)
about: we are the elite, the nobility, the artists and the bluebloods. Our tastes are expensive and our pockets are deep. we're accomplished fighters -- and we bring our taste for the recherché and aristocratic savvy to the pk ring. those who are too weak to become one of us are fit only to be hunted for our pleasure.
purpose: to maintain the purity of blood and, more importantly, the purity of warfare.
requirements to join: - pkok with intent to become pkenabled, or already pkenabled characters. - you must have some sort of rp concept for your character. it doesn't have to be fancy but it must be coherant and compatible with the basic ideals of the clan. if you're in doubt, contact santiago.
requirements to be maintained as a member:
- maintain the clan ideal (play the part!)
- maintain character rp
- maintain pk timer, of course
ranking system: should this clan be formed, members will be subject to a title ranking system. what this means to members is that there will be plenty of opportunity to gain rp influence within the clan and community as well as a pk 'classification' based on how high your rank is. rank will be determined by your long-term win:loss ratio. possible titles, from lowest to highest rank, are:
++ duc -- {duc des enfants terribles} or simply the title {enfants terribles} indicates a new member, or a member with more losses than wins.
++ comte -- {comte des enfants terribles} indicates a member with a 1:1 (even kills to deaths) ratio
++ vicomte -- {marquis des enfants terribles} is a member who has attained a 2:1 pkill ratio
++ seigneur -- {comte des enfants terribles} is reserved for members with a 3:1 pkill ratio
++ chevalier (knight) -- {chevalier des enfants terribles} is a coveted title reserved for pkillers with a 4:1 ratio or better
the title of 'dauphin' would be possible for the designation of assistant gm, but has no bearing on one's pk designation.
obviously, those with rank in {enfants terribles} should be considered more deadly opponents.
{enfants terribles} page & profiling: this page will be maintained after clan formation as the clan's site. A message board will be installed for discussion and pk battle logs (in order to keep track of member ranks.) each member will also be welcome to an rp bio (character profile) sheet here as well.
