What is a Tampion?

.  A Tampion is a plug that fits in the end of your rifle barrel.  The purpose of the tampion is to protect it from rain.  Because the tampion is in the barrel you must use special care when using it so that it is not in the barrel when you fire your weapon.

What is a Vivandier?

A Vivandier is essentially a battle field nurse.  She or he goes on the battlefield and ensures the safety of the soldiers in her unit and also renders aid to other units or even the enemy as conditions require.  Usually the Vivandier is unarmed although Miss Billee carries a rather potent rolling pin.

What is the VMI?

The VMI is patterned after the youthful cadets who were in military training.  The Adams Brigade VMI is for those who are too young to go on the battlefield.  They have a commander who trains them with toy rifles.  They learn how to properly handle the rifle, the manual of arms, and proper drill.
