Borderline started about 2 and a half years ago, in 2000. We were known as Skitzofrenia. David was the guitarist, cullen on drums, davids brother on bass, and cullen's brother on vocals. David's brother left the band after about the first two practices. Cullen's step-brother was then the bassist for the band. We were mainly doing covers then, but cullen's step brother wasn't interested with the band anymore, and so he left us. The band was left with cullen's brother on bass and vocals, david on guitar and vocals, and cullen on drums. That was going ok for awhile and when we were starting to write some of our own songs, cullens brother just left. We had nothing. We tried chris as a bassist but he never came to a practice or anything, so that didnt help any. At around November of 2002, david remembered that his good friend colin was learning how to play the guitar and had a bass. He was a fast learner and just a really cool person, so we decided to try him out. He came to practices, he contributed to the band, and he was good at the bass. He was in the band. no doubt about it. david started to write some songs, none of which we use today, except for one and a half, and things started to work. after the beginning of recording our first ep, we decided to change our name. it took a lot of discussing and asking people which names were cool, but we finally decided borderline was the right one. this has all brought us to what we are today. we do this to prove everyone wrong. to everyone who left us there by ourselves without warning, everyone who said we'd crash and burn, everyone who laughed at us, we are doing this to prove you wrong. we might not be that good, but we've done something.
