All I have to say is, sci-fi rules. And anime. Don't forget the anime. |

Am I the only person alive who thinks Star Wars Episodes I and II are good movies? They actually have running plot lines and they have tons of foreshadowing. Everyone was complaining about the last one, "The love stuff sucked!" Well, love happens! And it's not always pretty, as we know with Anakin & Padme. So, just to spite you all, I give two thumbs up to George Lucas and all the Star Wars movies. |
| Mmm, Legolas. Oops, sorry O.O Yeah, I really, really like the Lord of the Rings movie. I think that Peter Jackson did a truly superb job of re-creating Middle Earth. He went all out. Everyone is in character, the cinematography was really awesome, and all those little hobbits are so gosh darn cute! Oh, and did I mention the special effects? The intricate costuming? Those sweet elf ears? Heh, yeah, it's a great movie. |

These two movies are really well done. The Secret of Nimh is based on the book fairly well, and the overall animation and storyline are nicely developed. This has always been one of my favorite movies. The Dark Crystal was done by Jim Henson studios and was forgotten by the movie industry really quickly. I don't see why, it was a really cool movie! There are lots of neat little animal guys, and the story is classic fantasy/sci-fi. |

| At first I thought The Matrix was just a special effects movie with no plot. Then I actually saw the movie. The storyline is pure and unadulterated science fiction. The idea of humans being created in test tubes by machines to power a robotic Earth is fascinating to me. Then again, I'm a science fiction nerd, so maybe it's just me. Anyways, I thought the whole movie was pretty cool. A little predictable at times, but neat. The only thing that was weird was that I had seen Lord of the Rings before the Matrix, so I kept thinking, 'What's Lord Elrond doing as a bad guy?' |

I thought Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was really cool. I got to see it with a friend of mine who is fluent in Mandarin so I got to ask her what the literal translations were. I really like certain aspects of Asian culture, like martial arts, architecture, the honor code, etc. Listening to the actors speak their native tongues was a great way to get in to the movie. Of course, if you don't like subtitles, you're going to think the movie sucked, because it IS a foreign film. But all in all, I think it has a lot to offer. |
| This movie is based on the series of books by Frank Herbert. The best version is the one made in 1984 with Kyle MacLachlan as Paul and Patrick Stewart as Gurney. There are newer versions, but they're just not the same caliber as the first movie. I, personally, like Kyle MacLachlan's rugged good looks. Plus, Patrick Stewart is an amazing actor with a voice that commands your attention and sounds authoritative. Of course I'm a little biased because I was raised with sci-fi, but the Dune movie is pretty cool. |

Anime! |
| I'm a big fan of anime. Not the porno crap that lecherous teenage boys watch, the REAL stuff that has an interesting plot line and good animation and artistry. Currently I only have access to the stuff shown by Cartoon Network, mainly because I lack the funds to buy DVD's. So as a result, I've become addicted to Inuyasha and Cowboy Bebop. I also like Ah! My Goddess, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Ronin Warriors, Tenchi Muyo, and Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon is the show that got me started on anime. What can I say, I'm loyal to a fault -_o |
