A Prayer for Owen Meany

Written by John Irving, analyzed by a collective.

This is my "addition to the collective of people analyzing A Prayer for Owen Meany" Lesson site. By Peter Eddy

It is no coincidence (especially since Owen Meany did not believe in coincidences and Owen was always right) that the subfolder for my Angelfire domain is rebellion. In chapter six, "The Voice" Owen took the position of a renegade. He was abusing the power because he could, not because he had anything valuable to say. He was testing his limits.

There was a great deal of imagery. I could imagine Owen on a motorcycle, riding away with his leather jacket. Clearly he had no motorcycle, it's just what comes to mind. As much as this was what Owen was like while he was attending Gravesend Academy, this is who Hester "the Molester" turns out to be when the book ends.

Just my personal feelings against the Owen Meany character.

On to the Lessons!
