CGS Conference 2002--Investigate the Possibilities

Oh yes, it's that time of year again. Every year after school gets out, a bunch of crazy women flock to one city for a weekend full of madness. What could cause such insanity? A little offshoot known as Campus Girl Scouts!

The third annual conference was held in Atlanta, Georgia on June 14-16 at Agnes Scott College. (For those of you not in the know, that's the school where Scream 2 was filmed. It's an all girls school with about 800 students.) The following account is taken from the mind of a crazed Scout...keep that in mind.

Laura arrives in Atlanta

Although my journey for conference began early in the day on Thursday, the actual event started on Friday when we all walked to the MARTA station and headed into downtown Atlanta. In this photo, I'm sharing my relief at having made it out of the mass transit system alive. (This, from a girl who rode the subway alone in Prague to get to a McDonalds...sheesh.)

Worshipped by many. I found the fountain more interesting. I was tempted to dance in the fountain and yell FAME! but it was against the rules. Plus, I'm supposed to be a role model here....
