In my humble opinion, this is the best movie ever made. This film completely strips away the glossy veneer that we Americans have used to cover the darker, truer side of suburbia. Everyone involved with this film is a genius. This was the first film directed by Sam Mendes, and he won the best director Oscar. What in the world do you do after winning an Oscar for your first film . . .?

This is the funniest movie that I have ever seen. This film LOVINGLY laughs at stereotypes as it follows one girl's journey as she not only "learns" she's a *gasp* lesbian, but also falls in love with a girl at a homosexual de-programming camp.

Trick is really a story about two guys falling in love against all odds. Oh, sure, it starts out as two guys just trying to pick each other up and find a place to make out. But as the night progresses Gabriel and Mark realize they want more than just sex . . .

Simple and sweet story of two teenage girls who fall in love. One girl is pretty and popular, the other is a butchy girl from the wrong side of the tracks. They way in which these girls change each other's lives is beautiful.

Great story about a group of gay male friends who stand by each other in good times and bad. Fun at times and sad at others . . .

I know I will get some flack for this one, but I don't care! I'm a tender-hearted person and a big part of me wants to believe the ideals shown in this movie can win out over all the negativity in the world. I really tried to "pay it forward" but it didn't work. But I just keep watching this movie and trying again!
