the trees sway with the summer breeze,
leaves toss upon emerald seas,
blossoms fulfill their prophetic debut,
pink, red, blue-purple hue.
green falls from the rooftops,
drips from the sky
choirs of birds are echoed on high.
petals turn auburn, as does green,
Autumn presents its quiet regime.
the seas dry out,
the leaves turn cold,
yet branches still glitter
with a frost-burnt gold.
silent and creeping, Winter ensues,
Death comes knocking
and the 'system' improves.
angry and forceful, Spring's vengeance is heard,
"hurrah" cry the birds
for Winter is burnt.
and the cycle returns.
