man as he should (and could) be

ayn rand said that she strove to create the image of the perfect man in her books. i see it, but i doubt most people do. they read the books because it's assigned for their honors english course, not because it's worth a dime.

anyway....

it seems that people rarely consider each other as "fullest" or "satisfactory". okay, i'll merit, satisfactory isn't exactly the best description for anyone... it reminds me of "adequate", which i don't like. so anyway, let's stick with "fullest." everyone has potential of some sort, and if everyone strove to reach the climax of that potential there would be many more full, whole humans in this world.

think about it. a perfect human would be without any pain or fear or guilt... it would be the revelation of time. it would be complete comfort, complete acceptance with oneself, complete understanding of the self, complete love of the self. yes, in a word: ego. and take it in its strictest definition: "I." perfection in humanity would be without violence, because there would be no need, or desire; without anger, because people would finally learn to stop giving a damn about what someone else thought; and without destruction of the self, because they would realize that each of them really is all they have. it would be peace in individualism, it would be a utopia of individualism. okay, so now i'm beginning to sound like a dreamer... or am i?
