the cliche repeats itself a thousand times. the root of all evil, of all deceit, of all betrayal, of all hate and indecency and greed. but, if evil can have a root of money, then doesn't money also have to have a root somewhere, some origin of beginning? we can't simply proclaim, "it's just there." it wasn't always just there.
and by the way, do you happen to remember what it was like before it was "just there"?
and, how often have you asked yourself this question...
WHAT IS THE ROOT OF ALL MONEY?
there are two routes to take: blame and use. in the blame category, we have humans as the root of all money... humans created money, humans use money, humans are the creatures that give money its personified significance. we are the ones that forgot the slips of paper weren't weapons.
and then there's the use category... face it. money's used for everything, and without money, where would we be? whether you like it or not, it's a fair tool of trade (and that's not considering what you're trading it for). without some sort of organized system of trade, we'd still be bartering with each others goods. money can't be evil, because that would define it as absolutely evil... and yet again, i've forgotten myself. it's PAPER. the inanimate can't be evil.
when it comes down to it-- and i say this with absolutely nothing against the poor-- people have the amount of money they have for the jobs they do. granted, i can't stand CEOs and big-time executives that climbed to the top by way of manipulation and ass-kissing. but why complain about those millionnaires unless you believe you could do their job better? they have what they have because they've earned it, and instead of whining about how much money we don't have, we should be happy that we earned what we do have, and what we earn what we deserve. generally, that is.
