When the topic of wolves comes up in Middle Earth, most people envision the creatures that attack Men on the edge of the forest, but in Rivendell, they are the friendly beasts that watch the children. There have been wolves with the Fellowship as long as anyone of them can remember, the first belonging to Tenelia and Devash. From these two Wolves, there came four more, the puppies as they were commonly referred too. These four were given to the children and others of Rivendell as companions. However, those puppies, along with the parents, soon grew old and their lives ended, much to the dismay of the people and Elves you loved them dearly. Wolves are not quite as common in Rivendell as they once were, now that the Three have left. Mostly there are hunting dogs that follow the Elves around, but those dogs, as many believe, are still somehow related to the origanal two wolves who lived in Rivendell many years ago.
