Of the children, Fennel and Piper are twins as are Nyelle and Gabriel.
Illen was one of the four hobbits that graced Rivendell during the time of the Three in the forth age. He was traveling to Rivendell with three friends, Dane, Bane and Litho, in the tracks of their ancestors, Samwise Gamgee, Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrin Took. They soon found themselves in a horrible situation when they were attacked by Orcs and Urik-hai outside of Rivendell. Tenelia, Devah and Noonishki came to their rescue, though they origanally left the safety of their home to fight off the Orcs.
Illen made himself at home in Rivendell and quickly became the favorite of Devash. He also constantly thought of his sweetheart back home in the Shire, Daisy Oakroots. He did not think about much else about Daisy and was worried about what might become of her. He did not reveal to the Elves, until much later, that men had moved into the Shire and had occupied much of it. These men were infact the Ranger Krune, Crowned Prince of Dale, and his followers. They were crued and did not care for the Hobbits of the Shire. Rather, they wanted to take much of the land and claim it for themselves.
Illen and the other Hobbits became part of the Fellowship Undomiel and traveled with the Elves and Humans to the Lair of Sauron in the far north. He helped protect the Three and even gave his own life to save them. Devash then gave him her life and Lord Elrohir gave his life for her's.
When the Fellowship travelled to the Shire, Illen married Daisy, his love. Soon after the Elves, their friends, left the first child of Illen and Daisy, Daffyd, was born. He then went on, within ten years time, to have ten more children.
