Hellhound

The Hellhound was a thing of nightmares. It's shriek could piece eardrums, and it's cry could break hearts. The very sight of it would send chills up one's back and strike fear into the heart of the masses. A particular Hellhound would take over the body of Tenelia and try to kill her friends and companions, but it was always defeated. It really never learned.
The Hellhound was one of the reasons Tenelia had to leave Rivendell. The Elves were not actually aware of the Hellhound that had possessed Tenelia, but they knew of a threat. They knew that, if the three were to stay together, they would be hunted down, ravenged and killed by the Dark Lord Sauron, now returned after many years of regaing strength. He had the chance to inflict pain on at least one of the Three, and he did it with his pet, the female Hellhound he had raised. He put it into the body of Tenelia and the hound, in turn, wrapped herself around Tenelia's very being.
As a young child, Tenelia was given a pendent she must always wear. It was to keep the Hellhound at bay, or the Elves had found out after several years of the creature that haunted the now young child. Tenelia grew, knowing of this daemon that tryed to kill her and her family. She knew that she had to fight it, keep it a secret from all of her friends at school who wondered why she wore the strange pendent.
In the seventh year Tenelia was at Hogwarts, the pendent broke, it had lost one of the small jewels in it and, with out that Jewel, the Hellhound could come out, and that's just what it did. It came out the night Hogwarts was attacked, the night the fellowship left Tenelia for dead in the Gryffindor Common Room.
The Hellhound came back many times and was actually banished from Tenelia's body, but it found a way back in in a moment of Tenelia's weakness. There, it continued to haunt the Elf and was defeated for the final time in the lair of Sauron. The Hellhound was dead, the Dark Lord defeated for a final time. Life was good for Tenelia, but not for the shrivelled Hellhound the Fellowship had left lying on the floor of Sauron's Great Room.
