Wisdom for the Ages.....
In a continued effort to battle the twin evils of Ambiguity and Devil Worship (aka speaking french), I have decided to provide a daily (i.e. when I get around to it) German lesson.

Today's Lesson:

La, la, la, la, la, la
Sing ein fröhliches Lied
La, la, la, la, la, la
Schlumpf den ganzen Tag

(gepfiffen) La, la, la, la, la, la
Schlumpf mit mir
(gepfiffen) La, la, la, la, la, la
So einfach wie es sein kann

Das nächste Mal, das du traurig bist
Lass ein Lächeln sich anfangen!
Frohe Dinge werden zu dir kommen
Schlumpfe dich ein Grinzen!

La, la, la, la, la, la
Sing a Happy song
La, la, la, la, la, la
Smurf the whole day long

(whistling to tune of) La, la, la, la, la, la
Smurf along with me
(whistling to tune of) La, la, la, la, la, la
Simple as can be

Next time you're feeling blue,
Just let a smile begin!
Happy things will come to you,
So smurf yourself a grin!

That's all for today. And remember, just because in the innocence of childhood we were able to interpret the ambiguity of the word "smurf" in a clean and pure manner, doesn't mean we can still do so as disillusioned young adults.
