THE MYSTERIOUS DREAM

by Sky

'Sssss!' the lightsabers hissed as they touched each other. The blue and green blades flickered when they hit. Two padawan human boys were practicing their lightsaber skills. Obi-Wan Kenobi was gaining the advantage and the other boy, Tye-Co Yen, was having trouble attacking Obi-Wan.

They were not friends, but not enemies or rivals either. They just knew of each other and were assigned to practice together by Master Yoda. The two foot green alien Jedi Master, who was the highest and best master on the Council.

Obi-Wan and Tye-Co continued to fight. They fought gracefully and had perfect timing towards every strike. Their footing was balanced just right and there mind was cleared from everything except the fight.

Yoda was sitting in a room across from the boys, watching them through a glass window. He folded his hands and nodded at how well they were doing. 'They are very well trained by there masters', Yoda thought. After watching them for an hour he dismissed them.

Obi-Wan began walking to his room. He was very excited, because tomorrow was his 14th birthday. Every birthday for a padawan, they would receive great gifts from the masters. Sometimes it was a brand new tunic, a robe or new crystals for lightsabers.

He was tired and decided to get some sleep before tomorrow. He needed some rest, since he almost exhausted himself in the training room. He entered his room and lay down on his bed. And after a few minutes he was asleep.

At that same moment a baby boy was born on the planet Tatooine!

A flash of darkness! A boy? The boy? The evil? It lives in him!

Suddenly Obi-Wan heard voices, but the darkness covered his eyes from seeing anything. "He is the chosen one. You must train him," that sounds like master Qui-Gon.

"Clouded this boys future is," that's master Yoda's voice.

"You will be a Jedi, I promise," that voice...it sound familiar. Almost like mine, but deeper and older.

"I can't leave her!" a young man shouted or was it the boy...grown up.

"I need you..." that same familiar voice again...but even more older.

"Be careful of your friend...-" the sentence was incomplete.

"...not a bad man, Obi-Wan," that young man or the boy said.

"The boy...gone he is...consumed by...Darth...-" I don't understand what Yoda is saying. It's missing other words.

"He has turned to the dark side," that same familiar voice, but even more older. Who is this man?

"No! I don't believe you," it was a young woman. She seems very afraid of something. But what?

"...is the father, isn't he," that voice. I know that voice.

"Stop! Come back. I love you," the woman said again. She was even more afraid.

"You brought him here to kill me," that young man or boy said.

"You have allowed this dark lord to twist your mind, until now... until now you have become the very thing you swore to destroy," that voice. I know it, but I can't figure who it is.

"This is the end for you..." the young man or boy said.

"It's over...I have the high ground," the familiar voice yelled to the young man or boy.

"You underestimate my power," the young man or boy yelled back.

Obi-Wan then saw a man leap towards him and as he got very close, he suddenly saw a mask of darkness. He woke up with great fear. He thought about his dream. It's just a nightmare. One I will never forget and will never tell.

Obi-Wan sat high above the outside temple grounds. He couldn't sleep. He felt the Force, but he didn't know what to do with it. It was calling his name, trying to tell him something. But Obi-Wan was to young and not strong enough to understand what it wanted.

As the sun rose higher and higher he realized that he was thinking so much about the dream that he forgot it was his birthday. He wouldn't allow this mysterious dream effect his special day. And just as he began to his room he heard the familiar voice again, "You were my brother...I loved you!"
