The above is the prophecy that makes up the plot of the innovative 1982 film, The Dark Crystal. The story follows the hero's journey of Jen, a Gelfling believed to be the last of his kind, who set out to heal the Dark Crystal and save the world from the evil Skeksis.

Filmed entirely with puppets with the creative expertise of Jim Henson (The Muppets), Frank Oz (Yoda from the Star Wars movies), and artist Brian Froud (The Labyrinth), The Dark Crystal was groundbreaking for it's time, and is as popular today as it was when it first came out.
