Want to go to Bothawui? The Clan Crest of Alya

Clan Alya Player Code

All Player Associations have rules, here are ours:

1 - I may not, directly or indirectly, endanger or harm the Clan or its property. [Detail]

2 - I may not, directly or indirectly, endanger or harm any member, or their property, within the walls of the Clan. [Detail]

3 - I shall treat all members with respect inside and outside of the walls of the Clan. [Detail]

4 - All events, within the Clan, that I bear witness to or participate in, will remain in the Clan. [Detail]

5 - I shall offer my services to the Clan and it's members whenever possible. [Detail]

6 - I shall make all efforts to aid other members in need, so long as doing so offers no threat to myself. [Detail]

7 - I shall offer assistance to Newbie Bothans in game, to the extent that other codes are not infringed upon. [Detail]

Explanations:

1 - I may not directly or indirectly, endanger or harm the Clan or its property. -This is one of the most important mandates of our code. Any member witnessing an infraction of this mandate should immediately report it to the Clan Enforcement Director. A screenshot should be taken as evidence and emailed to the Clan Enforcement Director immediately, even if he/she is not online at that time. It should also be reported to the Clan Head immediately, in the same manner. Breaking this mandate of our code falls under the 2-strike rule. [Detail] This rule does not take precedence over the Galactic Civil War. [Back]

2 - I may not, directly or indirectly, endanger or harm any member or their property within the walls of the Clan. -This mandate is just as important as the previous one. However, breaches of this mandate must be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Because several members may be of opposing factions, this part of the code applies only within the walls of the Clan. The walls of the Clan are boundaries and not necessarily physical walls. The walls of the Clan will be defined more accurately within the game. In the case of conflict between Clan members, they may both present their cases to the Clan Enforcement Director. The Clan Enforcement Director will then do his/her best to review the evidence without bias. If the Clan Enforcement Director cannot come to a decision, he/she will present the case to the Clan Head for review. Once a decision has been made, any punishment decided upon (assuming the member in question is found guilty) will be passed on to the Clan Council for approval. Pending approval, punishment will be executed in a swift and timely manner. [Back]

3 - I shall treat all members with respect in and out of the walls of the Clan. -Any infractions that the victim(s) wish to report must have a screenshot and must be emailed to the Clan Enforcement Director within 24 hours of the infraction. Once again, it must be noted that some members may be of opposing factions, but this does not mean that enemies cannot respect one another. Because the Clan demands a certain level of respect from its members for its members, so should each member respect the Clan and their fellow members. If a bounty needs to be taken out on a fellow member, it must first be approved by the Clan Enforcement Director or the Clan Head unless it is directly related to the opposition of warring factions. All infractions will then be handled under the same method as Section 2 stated above. Reporting MUST be made by the victim, not a third party. If the victim does not wish to, -OR- fails to report within 24 hours, no disciplinary action will be taken. Breaking this mandate is a very serious offense. If we cannot respect each other, then we cannot expect the respect of the SWG Community. Keep in mind that there is a difference between fighting and disrespecting. It is very possible for members to fight each other with respect. [Back]

4 - All events within the Clan that I bear witness to or participate in will remain in the Clan. -If any Clan member witnesses this mandate of our code being broken, take a screenshot and report it as soon as possible. The purpose of this line of the code is to maintain the Clan's privacy from the rest of the game. Often times the Clan may engage in some discussions or actions that involve the co-operation of opposing factions. It is because of such discussions and actions that the Clan must maintain a certain level of privacy. This falls under the 2-strike rule [Detail] Clan Alya takes a zero tolerance stance on breaches of Clan security. [Back]

5 - I shall offer my services to Clan Alya and it's members whenever possible. -Not so much a rule, but a good suggestion. We understand that this is a game, and you play it to have fun. If being a part of this PA starts being more work than fun, then you should speak up. This section of the code exists to help us all improve our standing with the whole of the community. [Back]

6 - I shall make all efforts to aid other members in need, so long as doing so offers no threat to myself. -Also not so much a rule, but a good suggestion. The only way that this rule could be broken is by direct opposition to it on purpose. The Clan Enforcement Director will review any accusations of infraction of this section. If in fact these accusations are found to be baseless, the result will be punishment of the accuser. Remember, PA's exist to create bonds between characters, and to make life a little bit easier in game by having people that you can rely on for help when you need it. I hope that the Clan Enforcement Director NEVER has to deal with any accusations of an infraction of this line of our code. Remember, members of opposing factions cannot lend aid without the risk of becoming enemies of their own faction. So aiding opposing factional members is not recommended, because it only hurts the said player and hurts the Star Wars Galaxies illusion of a Galactic Civil War. [Back]

7 - I shall offer assistance to Newbie Bothans whenever possible. -This is more of a suggestion than a rule. We understand that this is a game, and you play it to have fun. If this section begins to feel more like work than fun, then tell the Clan Head. This rule of the code exists to help us all improve our standing with the whole SWG community, and possibly recruit another Bothan member. [Back]

The 2-strike rule: First offense: Probation- No use of PA housing or equipment for one month. Second Offense: Dishonorable Removal, no chance of re-entry. [Back]

The 3-strike rule: First Offense: Verbal warning by the Clan Enforcement Director. Second Offense: Probation- No use of PA housing or equipment for one month. Third offense: Dishonorable removal from the PA, no chance of re-entry. [Back]

The Clan Crest of Alya Want to go to Bothawui? The Bothan Tegor Bum'lya practiced the art of slicing on the Clan Alya mainframe. The data from his virus resulted in the overproduction of 1,000 Gaffi Sticks. The product had to be destroy because there were no interested buyers, and our warehouses were expecting a large shipment of G-2RD Guard Droids.

We would like to thank Ryll Quel'ya's work at making our Code of Conduct .

We at the Clan Alya would also like to thank Mofo_Dawg and his friends. Their input was the basis of our Code of Conduct. We hope that we can continue to mutually assist each other in the future.
