Businesses cited

****Carriage Hill In The News*****

The Maryland Department of the Environment has cited two northwest businesses for environmental violations. Sawyer Property Management paid $8,000 to the Maryland Clean Water Fund for dumping raw sewage into Brice Run on Jan. 3 from a sewage pump station at Carriage Hill Village Apartments in Randallstown. Sweetheart Cup Co. of Owings Mills was cited by an MDE inspector for allegedly constructing and operating a new printing press without the proper permits. The MDE is seeking penalties of up to $50,000. A final assessed penalty is pending, which Sweetheart can appeal.
