*~The Ring Of Power~*

Hey! Welcome to my site. This site is dedicated to the Lord Of the Rings Trilogy! One of the best stories of all time. I hope you enjoy it.

~*The Plot*~

The Dark Lord Sauron seeks to enslave the free peoples of the mythical realm of Middle-earth by recovering a mighty ring of power he forged in the fires beneath Mount Doom. After many generations, the ruling ring, cut from Sauron's hand by the human hero Isildur, has fallen by chance into the keeping of the hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Ian Holm). Guided by the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and assisted by companions representing the free races of elves, dwarves, men, and hobbits, Bilbo's heir, Frodo (Elijah Wood), embarks on a perilous quest to destroy the ring before Sauron's minions can recapture it.

~*Main Characters*~

Frodo Baggins

Culture: hobbit Frodo is a most unlikely hero. A Hobbit, small and quiet, but possessing a true and noble spirit, Frodo becomes the bearer of the One Ring when it is left to him by his famous Uncle Bilbo. The task therefore falls to him to do what no one else can, and destroy the ring by casting it into the fires of Mount Doom. The burden of this charge will lie heavy on Frodo, pulling at him constantly as he trods the perilous path to Mordor from whence the One Ring came.

Aragorn (aka Strider)

Culture: human A descendant of the lost line of the ancient kings of Men, Aragorn is fated to one day claim the empty throne of Gondor. Aragorn is a mighty warrior, wielding his blade with great adeptness in defense of Helm’s Deep. He fights with passion and bravery, but also with wisdom, which earns him the respect and admiration of Théoden, King of the Rohirrim. In The Return of the King, he will face several challenges that will determine the fate of Middle-earth.

*~Arwen~*

Culture: Elf Arwen the Elven Princess, known also to her people as Evenstar because of her unparalleled beauty, is destined to leave Middle-earth and sail to the Undying Lands of the West. While this fate looms before her, she falls in love with Aragorn, a mortal man, and is then faced with the heart-wrenching choice to leave Middle-earth with her people or forego her immortality for the man she loves.

*~Legolas Greenleaf~*

Culture: elf A Prince of the Elven Kingdom of Mirkwood, Legolas joined the Fellowship of the Ring as a representative of his people. Legolas possesses the keen eyesight and sharp ears characteristic of his race

*~Gimli~*

Culture: dwarf. When Frodo is appointed his quest, Gimli the Dwarf represents his people as a member of the Fellowship of the Ring. Gimli is a mighty warrior, quick to draw his broad axes in battle. Not given to subtlety, he wears his passions plainly for all to see. Yet for all his impulsiveness, Gimli is none the less loyal and noble in spirit. Once committed, his resolve to the success of the quest is unshakable.

*~Gandalf~*

Culture: wizard. After the great battle with the Balrog of Moria, Gandalf shed his grey mantle in The Two Towers and took up the title of Gandalf the White. The power that had lain veiled beneath his old grey visage now shines undiluted in the eyes of the pale wizard. After their triumph at Helm’s Deep, Gandalf continues to be a vital part of the war against evil and will make his way to Minas Tirith for the final battle.
