Experiences with FESS: Experienced in dealing with sinusitis/polypi with nasal
endoscope since 1993. Dealt with all varieties of cases including intracranial
extensions, extensive fungal sinusitis, optic nerve decompression, CSF leaks
closure etc. Trained about 10 ENT surgeons.. All the cases of allergic sinusitis are followed up by
a regimen of allergy testing and desensitization, the response to which is
excellent by world standards and have very few recurrences on prolonged follow
up. All the cases of fungal sinusitis are followed up with
fungal studies incl. Culture and sensitivity and put on oral antifungals as
indicated. The recurrence rates are very low.
