HISTORY

RECALL was formed in January 2003, when long time collaborators Darren White (guitars) and Anthony Ristovski (guitars) decided to set their sights on a project that would best showcase their love for musical exploration.

  The two had played together for roughly four years in a couple of bands, gigging and writing regularly, until they finally decided to put together a band of their own.  They set to work on a set of guitar-driven songs, experimenting with different musical ideas whist maintaining structure and flow that could be appreciated by the average listener.  They brought together a group of experienced musicians, David Sheldon (bass and vocals) and Aaron Spink (drums and percussion), forming the present 4 piece progressive power-house.  Collectively, they have performed at venues ranging across southern Ontario, such as : The Reverb, The Kathedral, Ontario Place, The Dungeon, Lee’s Palace, The 360 Club, The Rockit, The Tropicana, The Horseshoe, EP Taylors, Isaac’s, Jay Jay’s Hideaway, The Opera House, and the Edge 102 Street Level Studio, just to name a few…

Although RECALL has Only been playing together for a short time, it’s certain that creativity is abundant.  New ideas and an insatiable lust for progress will soon weave a never-ending tapestry of sonic brilliance.

  We’ve been working hard to get things up and running on the new site since the departure of former Members, who in turn, took the old site with them. So this is going to act as a temp until a very fla$hy and over done site is created.

  Things are running smoothly!  We’ve been writing and rehearsing ultra-intensely so that each show we play will be better than the one before it. 

  I’d like to take the time to give a formal welcome to our new drummer, Aaron Spink (percussionus extrordenairus).  He’s been more than a valuable addition to the RECALL family, he’s been a close friend for many years and we’ve wanted to work with him even longer.  In our time of need, he was willing to jeopardize his academic career to help the idea of RECALL stay alive, and continues to make our dream a reality.  We’re eternally grateful.  Thank You.

The new recordings are done!!!

We’ve spent the last few weeks recording a whack of shit for the up-coming release of RECALL's first EP!!!.  6 songs we’re recorded for the EP : Astral Plain, Autumn Twilight, Cacophonous, Endorphin, Prism, and Recall.

  On top of the drum tracks that have been completed at Machine Head Studios in T.O, and on top of our bout with some 20 hour mixing sessions at Wounded Paw Record's "Sound Foundation", we’ve also written a new song, called “Hieroglyph”, and we’ll soon have 2 or 3 new songs written through-out the coarse of the summer.  They don’t have names yet, but you can rest assure, as soon as they’re completed and dubbed, you’ll be the first to know
