well, here my website. it kinda sucks. deal with it. i am not good with computers and stuff like that.
what i think punk is: it is doing what you
want weither the people around you will hate you for
it or not. it is about being yourself and not careing
what other people think, unless they are your friends
or some family. you know, someone whose opinion you
respect. you have to stand up for what you believe
in no matter what, unless you think you will get into
a ton of trouble, then you have to think of another
way do go about it.as Billy said: stand for for
yourself without landing your ass in jail. you could
get more done without being in there. punks are not
suppose to be judgemental (nobody is, but we all are)
we are suppose to except everyone for who they are,
unless they think that they are better than everyone
else or if they are a really mean person.
there is more to it, but we all have our own opinions about things, this was just mine. but the basic foundation for punk is that you stand up for what you being in. you can tell that i used the word 'unless' and 'except' alot, because there are exceptions to everything. i am one of those people who like to keep an open mind. sometimes it is too open and then it makes me indesisive.
this part is by greg greffin, he is in the band bad religion. do not think that they are evil by their name, trust me it has to take courage to call your band that and not end up dead. just read some of their lyrics, i read them and liked it better than listening to them, because their music is ok, the lyrics make a lot of sense. not all of them, but some. here is what he thinks punk is:

lets say there is a kid that lives in the city, but he wants to live in the country, for some odd reason, and he wears cowboy clothes to skool and reads about the rodio and stuff, and everyone thinks he is uncool and weird. i would repect him because he was doing what he wanted and didn't care about what other people think.
this next part is examples of groups that people misjudge, and remember there are exceptions to every different person.
i also DON'T think that ALL preps are bad. they are just another group of people, just like goths, punks or metal heads. but they are known for thinking that they are better than others and stuff. which it isn't always true that they think like that, it is just a stereotype, but it is mostly true : )
people think punks just cause trouble and are bad, or they think it is just a fuckin' style. sorry, i got a bid mad there. i don't care if people wear the clothes or not, i just don't want them saying that they are punk when they aren't. i have the right to my own opinion, and more people will be hearing it this year!
people think that you are a goth if you wear black and don't smile, that isn't true at all! i wear black a lot but that is just because most of the shirts i like are black. the basic goths foundation for thinking is that they see the world for all the bad and not much good. i have nothing against them either, i just don't like it when i see some posers trying to be gothic and they look all sad and stuff. gothic people aren't down all the time! they turn out to be good poets and writers.
i must be truthful, i don't really like metal heads, they are usually mad at the world. they listen to music that is full of hate and is makes them s bit darker, but that is jsut the ones who don't care about their life. but i am friends with a few and they aren't that bad. just some : )
pop punk, is another group of people. a lot of people get pop punk and punk mixed up, and the only difference is the music! i find it funny really. i see supposed punk people talking about about a new pop punk band and i want to punch them. pop punk has changed the hard core punk music into some really great beats. they sound a bit popish, but i like it. if you read the lyrics it is great, they are getting their point across and everything.
last the individulists and pousers. a pouser is someone who tries to be something they are not and steals styles and saying from other people and movies, they get their ideas from other people and the internet and try to act like they came up with it. they try to fit in with different groups and fake liking stuff. an individualist tries to be different from everyone else and doesn't even do what they want to do because they are to busy being different.
