The funeral of Madame La Comtesse de Paris took place on the 11th July 2003 at the Royal Chapel of Dreux. A long cortege of members of the French Royal Family and guests from several other royal families was followed by a very simple service. Among the guests, from the reigning families: HSH The Prince of Liechtenstein, Hans Adam II, HM Queen Fabiola of the Belgians, HSH Hereditary Prince Albert of Monaco, HRH Infanta Cristina of Spain and D. Iñaki Urdangarín, Duchess and Duke of Palma de Mallorca, HRH Infanta Pilar of Spain, Duchess of Badajoz and TRH Prince and Princess Guillaume of Luxembourg

From the formerly reigning houses: HIM The Shahbanou of Iran, Farah Pahlavi, HRH The Duke of Bavaria, HRH The Duke of Braganza, HRH The Duke of Parma (accompanied by his sister, HRH Princess Cécile), HIRH Archduchess Regina of Austriahungary, HIH The Princess Napoléon, HRH The Prince of Venice, HIH Grand-Duke George of Russia, HRH The Duke of Aosta, TRH Prince and Princess Michel of Greece, and many others.

The large family of Madame was present almost in full, including all of her surviving children. Monseigneur Le Comte and Madame La Comtesse de Paris, Duke and Duchess of France, were entitled to lead the mourning and thus closed the procession, just ahead of HRH The Duke of Vendôme and his mother HRH The Duchess of Montpensier, first wife of the present Comte de Paris.

The Royal Chapel of Dreux, the pantheon of the French Royal Family, on the 11th July 2003, the day of the funeral of Madame La Comtesse de Paris. The staircase that leads to the entrance of the chapel was lined with flowers sent from all over Europe, while the door bore Madame's coat of arms above it. Chairs had been place outside for those who did not have a seat inside the Royal Chapel.
