Front Line Assembly is one of the biggest bands in Industrial. They currently consist of two men, Bill Leeb and Chris Peterson. Bill Leeb has been in the band since it started back in 1984 in vancouver. Rhys Fulber was involved quite a bit in the past, but, Rhys decided to quit the band to do his own thing. He produced Fear Factory, but actually is more or less part of the band. That is when their friend chris joined.
Prior to Front Line Assembly Bill was one of the originals of Skinny Puppy. He played bass synth on Remission, Bites and on some tracks on Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse. He was known as "Wilhelm Schroeder" back then. Later he left the band some of his own ideas on music and released "Total terror" and "Nerve war". When he left Skinny Puppy replaced him with Dwayne Goettel.
Front Line Assembly are still currently making albums their most recent is "Implode". Released on Metropolis records. They have also done work on the video game Quake.

Connections to Other Bands
Cyberaktif, a "supergroup", consisting of Bill Leeb, cEvin Key and Dwayne Goettel (who all were at on point former members of Skinny Puppy). One album and two singles was released. Blixa Bargeld from Einsturzende Neubauten helped them out on some of the tracks.
Delerium, Which is now basicly a main project, started out as a side project where Bill could experiment whith his other sides of music. Delerium, like Front Line Assembly, sound has transformed from dark and ethereal to a lighter, spacey sound, and into todays "poppy" sound.Bill and Rhys, who formed the band have been joined by some female singers. These are Kristy Thirsk, Sarah McLachlan, Camille Hendersson and Jacqui Hunt.
Rhys has been working with Fear Factory for quite a while now. He and Greg Reely has produced their two latest albums and Rhys has also been playing keyboards on some tracks and is listed as their keyboadist on Obsolete. Bill and Rhys made some remixes for them back in 1993 for the album Fear is the mindkiller and the rest is should be obvious obivious.
Noise Unit originly consisted of Bill and Marc Verhaeghen (The Klinik). On the second album Rhys joined and making it more a place for Bill to put the songs that didn't quite fit Front Line Assembly or make it on the discs. Marc comes back on Drill as well as some input from Haujobb.
Synaesthesia is alot like Delerium. Synaesthesia is a more dark, trance like, moody soundscapes.
Will is a band that consists of Rhys (who basicly runs the show), Chris Peterson, and John McRae. Their sound is very distinct, maybe paritaly due to John's vocals.
