Front 242 had their share of influences, but rather did more of the influencING. They were one of the early bands to start using samplers. On the album Official Versionn they started using actual samplers, namely the Emulator II one of the bands first, instead of just manipulating tapes.

Some of the Interesting Facts About Front 242

They wear sunglasses on stage so it would be harder for them to be recognized on the streets, without them.

The numbers on the albums 05:22:09:12 Off and 06:21:03:11 Up Evil is actually a code thing just substitute the corresponding letter in the alphabet for the number. Example A=1, B=2, C=3, and so on and so on.

One of the bands first samplers was the Emulator II which was a present for Patrick from his parents when they won the lottery.

The ART CORPORATION was established in mid eighties by Dirk Bergen and Geert Alaerts. The ART CORPORATION has used the computer as their medium and means of expression. They have put out such collections as RIGOR MORTIS, JUOTONES, MILITARIA, and INDONESIA. For the ART CORPORATION the initial vision is unchanged: simple, catchy graphic art. The attentive watcher-hearer will find a common theme between image and sound.
