This whimsical photo of Mr. Way, was captured by me on November 30 in Richmond VA after the show at the coliseum.
Your editor (me) and several fellow soldiers in the MCRmy, including my new good friends Cat and Jess, with the help of our fearless leader Vienna. Found the tour bus and hung out in the drizzling rain for about 30 minutes before Frank, Ray and Gerard came out to greet us, in that order. It was a relatively intimate setting with only about 15 fans. The guys had time to take pictures, chat and sign things. They weren't rushed, they seemed very comfortable and were extremely patient, making sure everyone had everything they wanted before they went back to their bus. Even a hug for this editor by Mr. Way himself. It was a night I will never forget.
The next night in Norfolk...They didn’t have an opportunity to meet fans after the show, because the venue was so small, the bus was parked right in front and the crowd was immense. Frank signed a few autographs, but the rest of them hopped onto the bus strait from the venue. So I was even more greatful for the opportunity that fate gave me the night before.
The show was the best I have seen. My first experience from the barricade! Bruises be damned. I was in the catbird seat! Of course, I got some stellar shots that will be posted soon!

| BACK IN BLACK!  I first saw the rumor on Buzznet, a blurry picture of Gerard in what seemed to be a salon. Was it new? Was it just before he went blond? Soon we would know, the impending live performance on MTV Dec. 31 would reveal all...and it proved true. It seems that front man for mcr has decided to change his look once again. Our once dark and bloody hero first went clean cut for the video "The Ghost of You" last year and we grew used to his shortened locks and lack of make up and red tie disheveled look. Then we had a new look to grow on us. The Blond Caesar cut. Well, I predicted it, as soon as a we began to get used to Mr. Way sans pigment. He went and re-pigmented himself, just in time for New Years Eve MTV performance. I must say, I think I am still partial to the black locks. Darkness becomes Mr. Way! It is my opinion, that he should let it grow just a bit, to soften his features. But, it is just fine as it is. No matter what he chooses, he seems to pull it off with grace. He looks GQ handsome always. There are many opinions on why he went "back in black". One that it is just to hard to keep up. Take it from someone who used to do the platinum locks, it is quite the chore. Others think, he got tired of the backlash and whining his black hair was gone. This I don't buy for a minute, Gerard is his own person, he does what he wants. He likes change, to shake things up, so that is what he does. There is another theory that it is based on "The Patient's" death. Somehow, white signifies the sickness and act of death, and 'Famous Last Words' is representative of crossing over to the other side where he is again himself. Or he is just realizing the whole thing is a dream, so his hair is now "normal". I guess we wont know the truth until Mr. Way decides it is time to reveal his "inspiration for his return to the dark side! That being said, as with the past change, I am sure as soon as we get used to this "look" he will change again. Something so unexpected it will throw us all for a loop! It was first rumored that it was due to a recent wisdom tooth extraction. Soon after there was a rumor of a relapse of Ebstien Barr syndrome. You will be relieved to know, it has now been confirmed that it was in fact due to the extraction of his wisdom teeth and he is going to be just fine. GERARD WAY REVEALS THE AGONIZING BREAK-UP THAT SHAPED ‘THE BLACK PARADE’ “THIS IS not something I’ve ever told anyone else. I had been in a long-term relationship and it fell apart during the making of ‘The Black Parade’. I’m alone right now, for thre first time in 10 years. That’s not something people know about me. It’s really hard. I’ve had girlfriends since I was 17 or 18. Now I’m 29. “It wasn’t something that anybody did. It was a six year relationship that ended. It was practically marriage. It was with someone who knew me before the band. Halfway through recording – literally just when I had finished tracking the vocal parts and chorus line to ‘Famous Last Words’ – I realized that line (‘I am not afraid to walk this world alone’) was the truth. I broke up with her a week later. I had to fly back and talk to her, move my stuff out. It was brutal. “But I’ve been enjoying being free and not having to make phone calls. It’s a good feeling at first – but then you check into a hotel room and realize there’s no one who misses you like a girlfriend misses you. I’ll sit there and stare at the wall. The performed "Famous Last Words" during the show, and "Welcome to the Black Parade" & "Dead" were to be viewed at a later date on Jimmy Kimmel live. However, the footage shown was of the rehearsal, that included technical difficulties with Ray's guitar. The show was reaired on the 15th of January with the correct footage.
