MASTER WILLING
A LEGEND IS BORN
Chapter 1
A legend born of blood and bravery underlies the birth of the city of Hesa-Nykus.
The courage and determination of the Kassar son of the First Sword of that clan
of the Wagon Peoples and those that supported Him, combined to make a fascinating
tale and the birth of a city. Willing_3 was born Kassar son of First Sword Ta-Will-Ka,
his mother, Turian by birth, was ko'lared after the great defeat of the City
of Turia at the hands of the four clans of the Wagon Peoples, led at the time
by Ubar San Kamchack of the Tuchucks. It was a war of revenge upon Saphrar administrator
of the city at the time and wisely not a war of destruction. The wise Tuchuck
Ubar San did not destroy the Turian Home Stone nor did he cause the walls of
Turia to be torn down. Kamchak realized that Turia and the continuous state
of near hostility between it and the clans kept the 4 clans in a perpetual state
of being prepared for war, every warrior honed for battle at an instants notice.
When Turia was defeated part of the price of sparing its Home Stone was 200
Free Women to wear the ko'lar of the Tuchuck, Kassar, Paravasi and Kataii, 50
to each clan. Many other concessions were demanded and conceded but this brings
us to the lineage of Willing_3, as First Sword of the Kassar Clan the rank of
Ta-Will-Ka entitled him to be among the first to choose His spoils. He bestowed
His ko'lar on a fantastically beautiful young maiden of high birth and noble
lineage, her given name was Prefectia an she was allowed to retain that name.
So in love was Ta-Will-Ka with his pretty little slave that in time he eventually
freed her and took Her as Free Companion. She bore Him several strong sons and
beautiful daughters the first born was Willing. During the years of growing
into manhood Willing accompanied his mother to Turia for one month each year
to visit Turian relatives, a generous gesture on the part of Ta-Will-Ka and
some say a vast mistake, others say a generosity of fate. Willing during His
visits to Turia grew to love the walls of the city, he marveled at its potential
for defense, he studied extensively old accounts of the defense of the city
during the war with the four clans. Because he found it amazing that the clans
had been able to defeat the Turians and bring them to their knees, he poured
over all the records he could find glorying in the accounts of bravery and daring.
In the process he felt he understood the mistakes that had been made by the
Turians and exploited by the clans, all this went into a growing seed deep with
in him to have at his command the walls and people of a great city.
Chapter 2
When Willing began to formulate His plans He spoke with a few of His closest
comrades.
He intended only to let them know that He would take His leave. Unbeknownst
to Him, there secretly circulated a growing following amongst His peers. Willing
had decided to strike out across the Tahari to an area on the northern edge
of the forbidding desert where there was an Oasis that issued an amount of water
sufficient to constitute the flow of a river, the only problem with this free
flowing stream was, that a few passages from its issuance ... it mysteriously
found its way back into the ground and essentially went no where ...Desert Tribes
had Used it for years to refresh them selves and their livestock but had never
built anything more that a few mud huts there. Willing began think what if?
Is there a possibility of stanching the waters flow back into the ground? Knowing
that there was a Major river that served as a huge trade route between AR and
the southwestern areas of Gor. Would it be possible to actually reroute the
waters flow so that it connected to the river of commerce....... if this were
possible what He had thought of as a small city or town could potentially be
the beginning of the Home Stone of a major city of Gor. As He formulated His
own plans they were changed by the secreted whisperings of young warriors who
came to him and proclaimed their support and willingness to follow Him......
into the unknown. Such was the natural leadership of the son of the First Sword
of the Kassar Clan that young warriors were willing to pledge their lives and
honor to Him and His Quest. Willing began to be ever more hopeful that his plan
might work or bear fruit with the out pouring of support that He was receiving
from the young clansmen but at the same time He realized that to take such a
group as had proclaimed their support. would entail a wrath to be brought down
on them like none seen before..Not only that but how could He sneak away with
upwards of 40 or more members of the clan without alerting all?... another plan
began to formulate in His mind.
