~ Rules of Combat ~

These rules of combat apply to all of Hesa-Nykus.

1. All posts will contain at least a minimum of 5 words and a maximum of only
one offensive or one defensive action per post. If any post has four words
or less or contains more than one offensive or defensive action, it will be
ruled as invalid. If that invalid post is a fatal blow, then refer to edict #5.

2. All offensive acts of combat, imprisonment or enslavement, raids, maiming
or otherwise injuring another person are arbitrated solely by the Ubar. All rulings are based on realistic plausibility and the aforementioned combat style for role-play, every such offensive act must be verified by unedited text and all rulings are final.

3. Assassins wishing to operate legally within the protective reach of the Hesa-Nykus must notify the Ubar and wait for a period of 7 days before they will be recognized. Anyone claiming to be of the Caste of Assassins (or any derivative of said caste) who does not follow this edict, will be considered detained by the city guards and escorted this edict, will be considered detained by the city guards and escorted
immediately to the outskirts of Hesa.

4. To initiate combat you must state the name of your target and your intentions towards them. If the target was not named AND/OR there was no intent to that named target stated, then the offensive act will be ruled as invalid role-play and completely ignored.

5. Fatal blows will only be allowed AFTER the 3rd post (Example: ~looks at man with intent to kill~ .. this post initiates the combat .. ~removes sword from
it's sheath~ .. this is the first post of "combat" .. ~moves toward man with
sword in hand~ .. this is second post of "combat" .. ~swings sword at man's head quickly~ .. this is the third post of "combat" .. and it is only after this post that a "fatal blow" post would be ruled as valid .. ~sword severes man's head from fatal blow occurs in the first, second OR third post of combat, that person's combat must begin again at the first three posts before any fatal blow will be ruled as valid. Violation of this edict will rule all combat invalid. If ANY valid post makes contact with an opponent, that opponent must make a confirmation post with a minimum of five words to acknowledge the valid post of said contact. Example: ~punches man hard in the face~ (a valid post of contact in combat) must be followed with confirmation post such as ~reels from the punch to the face~. If there is no such confirmation post, then all posts made by that combatant afterwards are voided until such a post is finally made.

6. Challenges will go as follows: The challenger will pick the grounds and his
opponent will pick the weapons. Any challenge made to any Free while they are currently within the sovereignty of Hesa-Nykus will be conducted by our rules for combat. (This means if any challenge is made on any page owned by Ubar Willing, then Hesa-Nykus combat rules are the only rules allowed or recognized, regardless of where the actual combat actually occurs.)

7. In order to flee, you must make 2 posts of no less than 5 words per post. When making posts for a legal flee from combat, the posts must actually pertain to the area in which combat is taking place (If you are in a " room " and fleeing from it, then you must post one post going to the door and a second post going thru it leaving the "room").

8. Ignorance of these rules is no excuse.

9. Any combat must be backed up with saved text when asked for.
