Tell-tale love signs
Everyone’s experience of being in love is different - but there are certain tell-tale signs that give a loved-up chick away. If you’ve started wearing clothes and make-up you know he likes, spent all your free monthly minutes on the phone to him, tried out your first name with his surname and think about him first thing in the morning and last thing at night, then it looks like you’ve got the lurve bug!
Long-term love-thing
Sometimes, the excitement and pure pash of a new boyf can produce the signs of love - but after a few weeks of dating, the feelings wear off. If you’ve been together for a while and you still feel just as strongly, there’s a good chance your love thang is for real.
Does it cut both ways?
Many boys try to hide their feelings in case they look soft, but you can spot the signs of a guy in love. He makes polite conversation with your parents, even when it’s painful to watch. He agrees to go clothes shopping with you and doesn’t moan once. He really wants you to watch him play footie and loves it when you hang around afterwards. Of course, the most obvious sign is if he says ‘I love you’. Or if you tell him you do and he says it back.
What’s next?
Telling him you love him is a major step but if you’re sure about your feelings, why not express them? Once you’ve told each other how you feel, there don’t have to be any planetary changes. Being in love is a sign that you’re happy and committed to each other. Don’t feel pressured into sleeping with him just because you’ve declared your love though. If he loves you too he won’t mind what your boundaries are. Most of all, have a laugh together and don’t go dropping your mates coz love doesn’t always last forever.
