The Black Mage originaly started with Witch Craft and Shamans. After a Chemist first found out how to use the energy elements such as Foi,Wat and Tsu, they found a black magical feild around them. Unlike Witches and Shamans, Black Mages cast spells from their own energy. To this day Chemist's call this Magic Power, and they found that the more you were able to train this Magic Power the stronger your spells got. At first it was a mistery why some could cast more spells then others, but then they found that their Magic Power had something to do with that too.
To become a Black Mage you must go through the Chemist class so that you can understand how to use your magic.
