Weapon Upgrades
Must upgrade weapons in order. To gain all final weapons, you must be a level 25.
Axe upgrades (Costs 3,500 gil to upgrade)
Double Sided Axe- Typically used by Minotaur guards, this double-sided axe can be found elsewhere besides Sakroth. Adds 50 to accuracy and Power. Base damage: 60.
Witch Blade- the witch blade can be used in many different ways. It can be swung in a downward motion like an axe or it can be used as a thrown weapon. The weapon has a nasty habit of ripping flesh from within its victim (basically tearing victim's from the inside out). Adds 80 to power. Base damage: 75 + ½ power or when thrown 105 + ½ accuracy. Takes one turn to recover the axe after been thrown. Found anywhere.
Demon Knight Axe- Perhaps one of the nastiest battle-axes, this two-handed battle-axe is typically employed by the larger warriors. A definite favorite of warring people. Adds 100 to Determination, Magic, and Intelligence. Base damage: 85. Found anywhere.
Spline Axe- This axe is perhaps the Minotaur League's most frequently used weapon. Axe on one side and hammer on the other, many warriors opt to use this weapon because of its flexibility in combat. Adds 100 to speed. Base damage: 90 for axe or 150 for hammer. After swinging it like a hammer…if you have under 700 power, you must rest for a turn due to the heaviness of it. Found anywhere.
Antha Blade- This weapon truly gains its fame through the many pit fights within the Minotaur League. Cousin to the Demon Knight Axe, the Antha blade goes one step further in terrifying weapons. Shrade on both sides, this weapon can just as easily slash through enemies as it can rip up through them. One of the most famed Minotaur weapons. Adds 150 to Power, Magic, and 70 to Intelligence. Base damage: 145 damage. Found only in Brimstone, Sintopia.
Wraith- The ULTIMATE Axe. This odd looking weapon is by far the most famed weapon in Minotaur history. Presented to only the greatest warriors, this axe represents strength, power and dominance. Beyond this weapons awesome appearance, it possesses the ability to strike opponent's in two different ways. The main function of this weapon is to be a slashing weapon "the bladed sides" but it can also be used as a stabbing "piercing" weapon, just as one who wield a spear. Adds 300 to all except Accuracy which gets 250. If your power is lower than 1,500 than you must take one turn to rest. If you power is over 2,000 than you can get two strikes with the weapon. Base damage: 200 for slash + ½ power or 195 for throwing plus ½ accuracy. Only found in Minotaur League. Must prove yourself in battle to gain this axe.
Boomerang upgrades (Costs 4,000 gil to upgrade)
Wind Slash- Longer than a boomerang, but more heavier. Shaped like a large shuriken. Can only be thrown. Adds 100 to Accuracy. Base damage- 20 + half accuracy.
Oritsuru- Stronger and quicker than the Wind Slash. Adds 150 to Accuracy and 200 to Speed. Only be thrown. Base damage- 50 + half accuracy.
Conformer- Only the greatest ninja use these. Can only be found in Kanto on Jurai. Adds 250 to Power and Self control, 400 to Accuracy, and 200 to Determination. Base damage- 110 + half accuracy.
Diska - The ULTIMATE Boomerang model. A technologically advanced throwing weapon with energy for blades.Adds 350 to Accuracy, 200 to Intelligence, 300 to Speed, and 100 to Magic. Can only be upgraded in Wutai. Base 150 + 1/2 accuracy.
Bow and Arrow upgrades (Costs 3,000 gil to upgrade)
Garuda Buster - A legendary poisonous bow. Adds 200 to Accuracy and Speed. Fires 3 arrows per turn. Has a one in three chance of poisoning the opponent. The Ref picks a number from 1 to 3 and the user must guess that number. If correct, the opponent is poisoned and receives damage. If wrong, the opponent just receives damage. This function can only be used three times. Base damage: 35, poison does damage equal to one fifth accuracy every turn.
Cross Bow - Fires arrows off from a horizontal bow. Adds 300 to Speed and 200 to Accuracy and Intelligence. Fires 4 arrows per turn. Base damage: 110.
Starlight Bow - The ULTIMATE bow. A bow containing the power of the heavens. The arrows it fires hit the enemy like a shooting star. Its special arrows can only be bought in Mar Sara. Normal arrows would be of no use to it. Adds 300 to Hp, 250 to Accuracy and Speed and 200 to Magic. Can fire 3 arrows per turn. Base damage 165 + 1/2 accuracy.
Buster Sword upgrades (Upgrades cost 1,500 gil.)
Mythril Saber - Lighter than the Buster Sword and easier to handle. When you get this weapon, your Speed raises by 15 and you gain 10 Accuracy. Base damage: 10.
Hardedge - Longer reach but heavier. Once again easier to handle than the Buster Sword but harder to maneuveur. Power is raised by 10 Determination raises by 15. Base damage: 12.
Butterfly Edge - As it's name implies, it is shaped almost like a butterfly. Very light and easy to use. Accuracy goes up by 20. Base damage: 15.
Enhance Sword - Enhanced version of the Buster Sword. A faint light engulfs a Buster Sword modeled weapon. No attributes are raised. Base damage: 20.
Organics - Hook shaped sword. Can only be upgraded at Trabia. Magic is raised by 15. Ice Slash can now be learned. Base damage: 25.
Crystal Sword - Almost see through because it is made of a hard Crystal. Powerful weapon in the right hands. Power goes up by 10 and Magic goes up by 10. Base damage: 35.
Force Stealer - As the name implies, this sword steals HP from the opponent when hit. 100 HP is stolen per hit. User's HP raises by 200. Base damage: 40.
Rune Blade - Sword made by the Elves of the old kingdom of Lodoss. Two hits per attack with 600 speed or more. Base damage: 50 for first hit, 20 for second hit.
Murasamekio - Long, sharp sword shaped like a masamune. Slower, however than the Rune Blade. Must have 700 Power to use. Raises Determination and Self Control by 30. Base damage: 65.
Apocalypse - Found only in the center of the Earth itself. Guarded by the many monsters on the planet. They believe it was the weapon of the gods themselves. Raises Self Control and Magic by 300. Base damage: 80.
Heaven's Cloud - Found on the mountain ranges of Cosmo Canyon. User must have 1,500 self control. It was used by the gods of the heavens that fought against the gods of the earth. Raises HP by 1,000 and raises Magic by 500. Base damage: 95.
Ragnarok - Not to be confused with the famed Ragnorak spacecraft. This sword was used many millennia ago by the first humans to ever live and breathe on Earth. Raises Power by 1,000. Base damage: 110. Must be upgraded in Mideel.
Ultima Weapon - The ULTIMATE Buster Sword model. It can only be found in the deep mountains of Nibelheim. It is guarded by the Ultimate Weapon, a huge monster that guards the mountains. Adds 4,000 to HP and 700 to Intelligence, Power, and Self Control. Base damage: 175.
Chain Whip upgrades (Costs 5,000 gil to upgrade)
Fail Of Hope- A whip that is said to bring hope to even the most lost soul. Adds 50 to Accuracy and Power and 100 to HP. Base damage: 70.
Nimbus Chain- A whip that packs a magical punch. This whip has a spiked ball on the end. Adds 100 to Magic and power and 300 to Speed. Base damage: 90. Must be upgraded in Mysidia.
Save the Queen- A whip that is worthy of saving a queen. Adds 250 to Accuracy, Determination, Power, and Speed. Base damage: 130.
Morning Star- The ULTIMATE whip. Its weight makes it hard to wield but it holds an amazing punch. Must have 1,500 power to use. Adds 500 to Accuracy and 300 to Magic. Can only be upgraded in Voleur. Base 175 + 1/2 Accuracy.
Dagger upgrades (Upgrades cost 4,000 gil)
Jagged Dagger - Is a jade colored Dagger once owned by the forest lord. It was stolen from the cave were he kept it by three young adventurers. They were hunted down and two were killed. The one still living was its welder. He than continued his quest to kill The River in vengeance of his love. He failed left crippled for life and with a severed right hand. He died next to a Great oak tree after running for nearly five years. No one knows were it is now but there are legends that his ghost returned to the mountains in Sakroth were he took it from in hopes of being forgiven. this Dagger has serrated blades. Adds 50 to Accuracy. Base damage: 35. Due to this legend, the creators of this Dagger merchandisized off its popularity, thus it can be found anywhere.
Dark Moon - This blade is very odd it can Talk to it's wieldier. The dragonhead on the blade spites out flames from its mouth doing normal fire damage times your level. This move can only be used once per battle. Adds 50 to Power, Speed, and Magic. Base Damage for strike is 55.
Viper - This blade was created by Maverick the dragon slayer who slain 12 dragons in his pass. His companion Trefles a powerful wizard who helps Maverick slay dragons and helped him in making the blade. There is also Bob the MASTER FORGER who assisted in making the blade, for the complete destruction of the DRAGONS. There's a cobra head with golden fangs on the back of the blade and there's cobra scales on the handle. The blade is curved it only cuts on one side. To use the special attack you must turn the blade and strike with a cobra’s head. Adds 100 to Power, Speed and Self control. Base damage-80 Plus poison. Poison does 50 damage per turn.
Silver Dagger - The Sliver dagger is usable by anyone. It lets user revive a slain person who is one level higher than his or her current level or under the user’s current level. This special power can only be used once a month. Adds 250 to Power, Speed, and Intelligence. Base Damage-115.
Wraith of God - The ULTIMATE Dagger. The Wraith of God is a very powerful Dagger forged from the melted scales of a white dragon. The Dagger has a very special ability. It can cure a serious wound once in battle. Can heal someone’s hp equal to the amount of half your determination. Can only be used once in battle. The Dagger is said to reside inside a mountain where it sits in a room guarded by two gold dragons and the spirit of the man that forged it. Adds 500 to Power and Self control, adds 300 to Speed, Magic, Intelligence, and Determination. Base Damage-130. To obtain this weapon one travel to the planet of Sakroth and pay 5,000 gil to get a guide to the cave. Then you will be tested to see if you are worthy of this weapon.
Energy Sword upgrades (Costs 4,000 gil to upgrade)
Laser Edge - A powerful sword that is made out of pure energy. Can slash through must anything. Adds 60 to Power and Magic and 50 to Accuracy and Speed. Base damage: 50 + hlaf power, for energy shot: 60 + 1/2 Accuracy.
Specter Edge - More powerful than the laser edge. It uses pure white energy which burns 5 times hotter than normal energy. It adds 150 to Determination and 110 to Power and Magic. Base damage 70 1/2 power, energy shot: 90 + 1/2 Accuracy.
Energy of God - A gift from the gods, it harnesses great power. Adds 300 to Intelligence and 200 to Power and Magic. Base damage: 120 + 1/2 power, for energy shot, Base:90 + 1/2 Accuracy.
Double Saber - The ULTIMATE energy sword. Stylish and incredible cool looking, it has an energy blade on both sides and is difficult to master. Must have 1,000 Intelligence to use. Adds 500 to Magic, 400 to Speed and 300 to Power. Base 150 + 1/2 Power, Energy blast 120 + 1/2 acc. When blasting, the turn after you can still do a normal attack, though it would do half base damage, or you can blast a second time, in which case you would have to take TWO turns to recharge both sides of the sword. For every 500 speed you have, you gain an extra hit. Can't exceed 4 in this method (though Weapon Mastery can still effect it). Can only be bought in Gold Saucer.
Gunarm upgrades (Costs 3,000 gil to upgrade)
Assault Gun - A more powerful gunarm. Faster and more powerful than before. Holds 100 rounds. You can fire between 1-10 bullets per turn. Each bullet does 6 damage. Adds 60 to Accuracy and 20 to Power. Add 1/2 Accuracy to the total amount of damage the bullets deal. Mastery of this weapon adds additional base damage to the final total of bullets, not each bullet individually. Additional turns simply fire more bullets and add the additional base damage again.
Heavy Vulcan - A heavy duty gunarm. A great over all gun. Holds 150 rounds. You can fire between 1-15 bullets per turn. Each bullet does 7 damage. Adds 30 to Accuracy, Speed, Power, and Self Control. Add 1/2 Accuracy to the total amount of damage the bullets deal. Mastery of this weapon adds additional base damage to the final total of bullets, not each bullet individually. Additional turns simply fire more bullets and add the additional base damage again.
Max Ray - A powerful but slow firing gunarm. The Heavy Vulcan pales in comparison to this weapon's power. Holds 100 rounds. You can fire between 1-10 bullets per turn. Each bullet does 10 damage. Adds 100 to Power and Magic and 200 to Accuracy. Add 1/2 Accuracy to the total amount of damage the bullets deal. Mastery of this weapon adds additional base damage to the final total of bullets, not each bullet individually. Additional turns simply fire more bullets and add the additional base damage again.<
Missing Score - The ULTIMATE gunarm. A gift from a great soldier. It will easily lay waste to a roomful of opponents. Holds 400 rounds. You can fire between 1-20 bullets per turn. Each bullet does 8 damage. Adds 400 to Speed and Accuracy, and 200 to Determination. Can only be upgraded in Esthar. Needs 400 self control to use. Add 1/2 Accuracy to the total amount of damage the bullets deal. Mastery of this weapon adds additional base damage to the final total of bullets, not each bullet individually. Additional turns simply fire more bullets and add the additional base damage again.
Gunblade upgrades (Costs 2,000 gil to upgrade)
Shear Trigger- Stronger in the gun area of the original model. Adds 50 to accuracy and 30 to Power. Base damage: 30.
Cutting Trigger- Stronger in the blade area. Adds 70 to power. Base damage: 45.
Flame Saber- The blade is engulfed in flames...or so it seems. It is just an illusion to scare off your enemies. Adds 100 to Determination, Magic, and Intelligence. Base damage: 55.
Twin Lance- A double bladed gunblade that has double the power. Adds 100 to speed. Base damage: 90.
Punishment- Stronger than the double bladed gunblade and like the flame saber, has the fire around it...except this time it really is fire. Adds 150 to Power, Magic, and 170 to Intelligence. Base damage: 115 + basic fire damage.
Lion Heart- The ULTIMATE gunblade. Blade is made of a secret metal alloy. It is only found in Esthar. There, your true courage will be tested to its fullest. A hidden shop will have the waiting prize, if you can defeat the shop's owner. Adds 500 to Power and Self control, 300 to Speed, 250 to Accuracy. Adds two extra attacks. Base damage: 125.
Head Dress upgrades (All can only be upgraded in Cosmo Canyon and cost 2,500 gil)
Mythril Clip - Head dress made of Mythril. Adds 20 to Magic and Speed. Base damage: 20.
Adaman Clip - Made of hard, unbreakable metal called Adamantium. Adds 40 to Power but user needs 200 Speed to use. Base damage: 40.
Behemoth Horn - Large horn made from the skin of a Behemoth. Said to hold great magic power. Adds 100 to Magic and 50 to Power. Base damage: 45.
Spring Gun Clip - When user attacks, it causes an explosion. Adds 100 to Speed and Accuracy. Base damage: 55 for first hit, add 20 to first hit every other turn.
Seraph Comb - A gift given to REDXIII from his father, Seto. Seto was a great warrior, who fought to protect Cosmo Canyon, but was turned into stone during a battle with the GI tribe, an ancient tribe that died out a millennia ago, and now haunt the cave under Cosmo Canyon. Adds 250 to Power, Health, and Determination. Base damage-75, adds 25 every other turn. Can't not be upgraded, rather you have to go through the GI Cave in Cosmo Canyon, and defeat the GI Nattak, the ghost of the ancient chief of the tribe, there.
Azure Comb - Made from a dark ice bird feather. It is unbreakable, strong and razor sharp. It adds 350 to all stats and 100 to hp. Base damage 90 adds 30 ever other turn. Only available from Red’s grandpa.
Limited Moon - The ULTIMATE Head Dress. Shaped like a half moon. Must get it from the mayor of Cosmo Canyon himself. Adds 500 to Power, Speed, Self Control, Determination, and Intelligence. Allows the user to learn Shamanize automatically. Must be a level 30 to use. Base damage: 100 for first attack, add 55 every other turn.
Katana upgrades (Costs 2,750 to upgrade)
Lode Katana - A light version of the original Katana. Great for close combat. Adds 50 to Speed and Determination. Base damage: 20, 10 added for every extra turn.
Slayer - A katana that will was once used to slaughter hundreds of people. Adds 70 to Accuracy and 30 to Determination. Base damage: 45, 20 added for every extra turn.
Spark Sword - The ULTIMATE katana. It holds the power of lightning within its metal. Regular Lightning attack added to base damage. Adds 300 to Speed and 300 to Intelligence. Base damage: 50, 40 added for every extra turn + basic lightning damage.
Hell's Katana - The ULTIMATE katana. The most powerful katana ever seen. It holds great evil power. Forged in the pits of Hell, this weapon was used by the demons of the underworld to kill their victims. These swords are protected by a fierce monster. Only those with an evil heart, or those so pure hearted that they can't be changed by its power, can use this sword. Adds 300 to Power, Speed, Health, and Determination. Base- 130, 100 added for every extra turn. They can be found in a volcano outside of the city of Mensonge, where they are guarded by a evil monster. Costs 4,000 gil to get a guide to the volcano
Leather Glove/Metal Knuckle upgrades (Upgrades cost 2,000 gil)
Mythril Claw - Metal knuckle type glove but with sharp claws made of mythril at the knuckle area. Raises Speed and Power by 10. Base damage: 15 + half Power (if trained in Martial Arts otherwise 1/4 power.).
Grand Glove - Faster and stronger type of leather glove. Raises Power and Speed by 20 and adds 100 to Intelligence. Base damage: 20 + half Power (if trained in Martial Arts otherwise 1/4 power.).
Diamond Knuckle - Hard weapon used for hard punches. Raises Power by 40 and Speed by 100. Base damage: 35 + half Power (if trained in Martial Arts otherwise 1/4 power.).
Ehrgeiz - Found ONLY in the town of Wutai, where all the most powerful martial artists live. Adds 150 to Power and 200 to Speed. Base damage: 65 + half power (if trained in Martial Arts otherwise 1/4 power.).
God's Hand - This powerful glove was once used by the gods but now has been passed down to the humans. It can only be found in Furieux on Sintopia. Adds 250 to Power and Self control, 300 to Speed and 150 to Accuracy. Base 105 + 1/2 power.
Panzar Claws - The ULTIMATE glove. A set of gloves that resemble cat paws. They hold a hidden set of claws that extend when the user attacks, causing extra damage. Can only be bought in Redshon. If you're a human, you will need to pay for transportation for 1,500 gil which usually takes a week through the Forest of Loneliness, but don't expect a warm welcome to the town. Humans are not welcome and its inhabitants will try to keep you away at all costs. Adds 350 to Power, 400 to Speed and 150 to accuracy. Base 75 + 1/2 power. Gains an extra hit for every 500 points of speed you have, but can't exceed 6 hits in this way. (Weapon Master can effect it further.)
Mag Rod upgrades (Upgrades cost 6,500 gil)
Stun Gun - Good for protection and quite durable. It's made from a strong yet cheap alloy. A slot for an energy pack has been added to this model. Adds 50 to Self Control and Intelligence and 100 to Speed. Base 25, 50 with a energy pack.
Phase Rod - Quite an improvement over the stun gun. The shocking mechanism has been powered up to allow more energy to flow from the rod. The rod itself as been made slightly longer and has an additional weight inside to increase the striking damage. Adds 100 to Intelligence, Speed, and Magic plus 300 to Self Control. Base 65, 85 with a energy pack.
Molecule Rod - The ULTIMATE upgrade for the mag rod series. The slot for the energy pack has been altered to support a different variation of packs. The rod itself has been created from a very rare and almost impossible alloy to find. Base 105, 140 with omega energy pack. Adds 250 to all stats.
Masamune upgrades (Costs 4,000 gil to upgrade)
Yoshikari - Faster and more powerful than a regular masamune. Adds 60 to Power and Speed. Base damage: 50.
Murasame -A powerful weapon that is sure to leave a mark on someone. Adds 200 to Power and Speed. Base damage: 130. Must be at level 30 to use.
Strato - A new variation of the masamune's. It's a relatively destructive weapon. However, it is both light and incredibly durable. Adds 400 to both Power and Speed. Base damage: 140.Can strike twice if speed is above 1,000. Must be at level 35 to use. Must be upgraded in Wutai.
Yamiurgashi - THE ULTIMATE Masamune. The blade is made of pure energy. Said to have been used by a dragon master long ago. Must obtain four dragon summons to wield this sword. Adds 1,000 to HP and 500 to Power and Speed. Base 200 + 1/2 power. Must be at level 50 to find and use.
Metal Claw (Upgrades costs 4,750 gil)
Kaiser - This powerful weapon, gives the user the speed of a cheetah. Made from mythril it’s sure to be a good companion in battle. Adds 60 to Speed and Magic. Base damage: 45.
Griffin Claw - A weapon made of griffin claw. It’s powerful, durable and quick for attacks. Adds 80 to Power, Determination and Self Control. Base damage: 55.
Dragon Claw - Made from a dragon’s claw, it has very magical properties. Locked within it comes the wisdom and courage of a dragon. Adds 120 to intelligence and magic. Base damage: 65.
Fire Claw - This weapon is engulfed in flames. It will quickly slice through anything with its fire touch. Adds 270 to Accuracy and Intelligence. Base damage: 95. Can only be upgraded from the old man in the Fire Cave.
Tiger Claw - A weapon made to shape that of a tiger’s. Due to its shape, it’s fast and strong. The head of a tiger is also engraved into the middle claw. Adds 350 to Speed, 300 to Determination and Intelligence. Base: 115.
Hawk Eye - A weapon not seen since ancient times. Once guarded by the mumbas of Redshon, you must be strong to receive this claw and wield its mighty power. Said to only be a few left in existence. Legend says that its keeper left the village and hasn’t been seen since. Adds 350 to Power, Magic, Determination and Self Control. Base damage: 165. Where it can be upgraded is not known, but can only be done by the one who watches over them.
Nunchaku upgrades (Costs 3,500 to upgrade)
Flail- The chain is longer for reach and extra momentum. It makes the strikes harder. Adds 70 to Power and 100 to Accuracy. Can only be upgraded in Elban. Base: 45+1/2 Accuracy.
Metal Flail- With the handles thicker and heavier, it can easily break someone’s bones. Adds 150 to Power. Base: 60+1/2 Accuracy.
Crescent Wish- Sleeker and slightly lighter, its unique design can cause a lot of pain. Adds 300 to Magic and 300 to Accuracy. Base: 95+1/2 Accuracy.
Strange Vision- The ULTIMATE nunchaku. It possesses powers that cause the target to become disoriented after the strike. Adds 490 to Self Control and Accuracy. Base 105 + 1/2 Accuracy.
Pinwheel upgrades (Costs 3,000 gil to upgrade)
Valkyrie- Stronger than the average pinwheel. Adds 100 to Accuracy and Power. Base damage: 45 + half accuracy.
Cardinal- Like the name says, the weapon shot from the launcher on the users arm. The weapon shot is shaped like a cardinal (The bird). Adds 150 to Self control and Determination and 200 to Accuracy. Base damage: 60 + half accuracy.
Shooting Star- When shot, has a streak that follows it, much like a shooting star. Adds 200 to Magic and Self control, 300 to Accuracy and 250 to Power. Base damage: 100 + half accuracy.
J-Cutter - The ULTIMATE Pinwheel. When fired, it gives off a shrieking sound taht can strike fear into the hearst of the target. Adds 300 to Accuracy, 150 to Self Control, 100 to Magic, 200 to Power, and 100 to HP. Can only be bought in Timber. Base 130 + 1/2 accuracy.
Revolver upgrades (Costs 4,000 gil to upgrade)
Peacemaker- A great weapon, for promoting the peace or causing death...which ever you prefer. 6 round bullet chamber. Adds 50 to Self control and Determination. Base damage: 60 + half accuracy.
Death Penalty- A weapon that will make your opponent pay for their crimes. Can only be gotten in Esthar. 6 round bullet chamber. A faster reload option is available. Costs...1,000 gil and it doesn't take an extra turn to reload. Adds 350 to Accuracy and Self control and 250 to Speed and Power. Base damage: 120 + half accuracy.
Varista - The ULTIMATE revolver model. Unlike the traditional revolver, this gun graduated to mako energy. The standard six champer still survived as a tradition, and the quick reload option is still available. It requires seperate ammo however. Adds 300 to Magic, 400 to Accuracy, 250 to Intelligence and 100 to Speed. Can only be upgraded in Outlaw Village. Base 145 + 1/2 accuracy.
Rifle upgrades (Costs 4,000 gil to upgrade)
Sniper CT- A great long range weapon. Holds three shells. Adds 150 to Accuracy and 100 to Speed. Base damage: 90 + half accuracy.
Exeter- It's accuracy can't be matched at long distances. Holds 10 shells. Adds 300 to Accuracy and Self Control and 150 to Power. Base damage: 140 + half accuracy.
Holy Ray- The ULTIMATE in rifles. A blessed weapon tht holds the power of gods. Its shot can never miss. This weapon is also nicknamed "Heaven's Punishment". It uses special ammo. It can only hold 7 rounds. Adds 400 to Accuracy and 300 to Self Control and Determination. Can only be bought in Toroian. Base 200 + 1/2 accuracy.
Scythe upgrades (Upgrades cost 2,750 gil)
Jagged Scythe- Longer and more powerful, this scythe has serrated blades. Adds 40 to Accuracy. Base damage: 35.
Laser Scythe- The blade of the scythe has been replaced with a blade of pure energy. Adds 50 to Power, Speed, and Magic. Base Damage-55.
Viper Scythe- A powerful scythe. It has the head of a viper engraved in the handle and on the metallic blade. This once well used farming tool, has now become a killing machine. Adds 100 to Power, Speed and Self control. Base damage-80.
Dragoon Scythe- This powerful weapon, once used by the legendary dragoon Kain, has a blade made of dragon bones, that have been sharpened to perfection. Adds 250 to Power, Speed, and Intelligence. Base Damage-115.
Chaos Scythe- The ULTIMATE scythe. No one really knows how this scythe came to be. But it was born of pure chaos, hence it's name. Adds 600 to Power and Self control, adds 300 to Speed, Magic, Intelligence, and Determination. Base Damage-130. To obtain this weapon one travel to the town of Mideel and pay 3,000 gil to get a shaman to diffuse your spirit into the life stream. Then you will be tested by the true owner of this weapon.
Shotgun upgrades (Costs 2,500 gil to upgrade)
Short Barrel - A shorter version of the shotgun but packs a more powerful punch. Adds 80 to Accuracy and Power. Holds 18 shells. Base damage-75. Can hit multiple targets but only does half the normal damage.
Double Barreled Shotgun - A twin barreled shotgun. Holds awesome power but causes a major kick. Has two hits per turn using two shells at a time. Holds 24 shells. Adds 280 to Accuracy and 200 to Determination. Base damage- 100. Can hit multiple targets but only does half the normal damage.
Winchester - The ULTIMATE shotgun. This gun can only be crafted by a master gunsmith in Southshore. Along the barrel, is an engraved picture of a dragon. This weapon is meant for those that LOVE power, and don't mind noise. For an extra 500 gil, this weapon can be equipped with a quick reload option that allows you to reload in one turn. Adds 500 to HP, 400 to Accuracy, 200 to Determination, and 380 to Power and Speed. Holds 40 shells. Base damage- 150. Can hit multiple targets without loosing effectiveness.
Spears and Javelins upgrades (Upgrades cost 2,750 gil)
Slash Lance - Longer and more powerful. The blades are serrated and sharp which makes it good for use as a melee weapon. Adds 50 to Accuracy. Base damage for melee: 35. Base damage if used for throwing: 20 + half accuracy.
Dragon Lance - Named this because the fabled knights of Lodoss used them to slay dragons. Mainly used as a melee weapon because it is too heavy to use for throwing. Adds 50 to Power. Base damage: 75. 40 + half accuracy if used for throwing.
Viper Halberd - Large, light, and powerful. This weapon has a viper's head grafted into it's handle. Adds 150 to Power, 100 to Speed and 50 to Accuracy. Base damage: 80 for melee, 50 + half accuracy for throwing.
Venus Gospel - It is powerful and good for throwing. It was a gift of the gods to the humans that helped them win the Lodoss War. Adds 200 to Power, Magic, and Self control and 300 to Speed. Base damage: 105, 85 + half accuracy for throwing.
Soul Banish - The ULTIMATE form of lance/javelin. It's powerful and devestating. It holds the souls of the dead in its tip. Adds 500 to Magic, 300 to Speed, 250 to Power and 200 to Accuracy. Base 130 + 1/2 power. 140 + 1/2 accuracy is thrown.
Staff upgrades (Upgrades cost 3,000 gil)
Mythril Rod - Heavier staff because of the mythril metal that is implanted on top of the wooden staff. Only allows user 2 attacks mper turn. Adds 20 to Speed and Magic. Base damage: 30, 10 for second attack.
Full Metal Staff - Even heavier but still able to do 2 strikes. Made completely of a hard metal. Adds 40 to Speed and 20 to Power. Base damage: 50, add 15 for the second strike.
Naginata - Two sharp blades were crafted into the both ends of the staff. 3 hits per turn. Adds 300 to Speed. Base damage: 100, add 15 for next two attacks.
Wizer Staff (Staff of the Gods) - The two blades from the Naginata are still there...but aren't made of metal anymore. Now they are made of the same substances like an Energy Sword. Staff part is reinforced adamantium. Adds 300 to Power and Magic. 1 attack per turn. Base damage: 115.
Princess Guard - The ULTIMATE Staff. Embedded in the long shaft is several beads of materia, a magical stone, thus envoking magic power. Adds 850 to HP, 300 Power, 250 Magic and 100 Speed. Base 140 + 1/2 power. Increases magic base damage by 50.
Submachine Gun upgrades (Costs 4,000 gil to upgrade)
Uzi - A faster and more destructive submachine gun. Can fire off many bullets in a short period of time. Holds 300 rounds. You can fire between 1-50 bullets per turn. Each bullet does 1.5 damage. Adds 100 to Accuracy, Power and Speed and 50 to Determination. Add 1/2 Accuracy to the total amount of damage the bullets deal. Mastery of this weapon adds additional base damage to the final total of bullets, not each bullet individually. Additional turns simply fire more bullets and add the additional base damage again.
Tommy gun - A Fast and easy Machine gun.Old in its design but strong anyways. Holds 300 rounds a clip. Fires off bursts of three bullets at a time. Can shoot 3-60 rounds in a couple of seconds. Each bullet doing 2 damage. Adds 250 to Accuracy, Power, and Speed. Add 1/2 Accuracy to the total amount of damage the bullets deal. Mastery of this weapon adds additional base damage to the final total of bullets, not each bullet individually. Additional turns simply fire more bullets and add the additional base damage again.
Minigun - The ULTIMATE submachine gun. Crafter by a master gunsmith. Packs a big punch for being a smaller automatic gun. Holds 500 rounds. You can fire between 1-80 bullets per turn. Each bullet does 2.5 damage. Adds 400 to Accuracy, Self control and Magic and 300 to Determination. Can only be upgraded in Esthar. Needs 500 power to use. Add 1/2 Accuracy to the total amount of damage the bullets deal. Mastery of this weapon adds additional base damage to the final total of bullets, not each bullet individually. Additional turns simply fire more bullets and add the additional base damage again.

Mythril Blade - The blade of the sword has been replaced with that of a blade made of mythril, making it much lighter than before. Adds 15 to Speed. Base: 25.
Ice Saber - A sword with a cold chill locked within its blade. Can only be upgraded in Ice Prison on Mars. Adds 45 to Magic, Power, and Determination. Base: 35 + basic ice damage.
Soul Saber - A sword with the soul of a great swords man locked away inside its blade. Its blade has turned a milky white color and glows with a white aura. Adds 65 to Determination and Self Control. Base equals 1/20 of your magic power. Must be upgraded in Baron.
Soul Reaver - A weapon with a deadly bite. It is said that it will suck the soul right out of a body with one hit. Adds 150 to Magic, Power, and Intelligence. Base 80. Has a one in 15 change of instantly killing someone with the first usage to hit the opponent in battle. The ref determines this.
Atma Weapon - The Legendary sword of power. It is said that the weapon grows stronger as you do. It's where abouts are unknown but it is said that a priest in Mysidia may know the key to finding it. Adds 500 to Power, 450 to HP and 150 to Self Control. Base damage: 1/20 to you HP.
TechGun upgrades (Costs 2,000 gil to upgrade)
Castor Gun - A powerful gun that will destroy anything with its rounds. Adds 60 to Accuracy. Larger clip, holds more rounds (20). Base damage: 30 + half accuracy.
Blaster - A large version of the Castor Gun, it can hold many more bullets and packs a much more destructive power. Holds even more rounds (50). Adds 140 to Accuracy. Base damage: 60 + half accuracy.
Photon Gun - Its power is only matched by the user of it. Holds 100 rounds. Adds 350 to Accuracy and Intelligence. Base damage: 80 + half accuracy.
Redemption - The Ultimate Tech gun. A newly created gun made by the original creator of the castor. Its over powers the Photon Gun in every way, shape, and form. Holds 30 rounds. Adds 400 to Speed, Accuracy, Health, Self control, and Determination. Base damage-200 plus 1/2 accuracy (round up). Uses a special type of ammo. Costs 4,000 to upgrade in North Corel, by the maker of the castor, Gamgee. Needs 1,000 accuracy and be at level 35 to use. Can only be upgraded, if deemed worthy of its power by Gamgee as well. He lives just outside the town of North Corel.
Two-Handed Sword upgrades (Costs 7,000 gil to upgrade)
Claymore - A powerful but heavy weapon. Takes much time to get used to the weight of it. Adds 100 to Power. Takes two turns to use: One to attack, one to rest due to heaviness of weapon. Base damage: 75. Blast damage: 50 + half accuracy.
Blood Wind - The lightest Blade but powerful. Forged in the purest flames. One Turn to attack. No resting needed. It adds 150 to power and Speed. Base damage is 100. Blast damage 60+ half accuracy.
Excalibur - A weapon from the time of King Arthur. When being held, you can feel its power coursing through your veins. Adds 300 to all. One turn to attack. No resting needed. Base damage: 130. Blast damage: 70 + accuracy.
Illumina - The ULTIMATE two handed sword. It radiates a surreal glow all of it's own. Its mere presence is enough to decimate most people. Only someone with inconceivable power could even think about wielding this destructive weapon. Adds 600 to all. Cannot be wielded if any stat is below 2,000. If power is higher than 5,000 than an additional strike is added. No resting needed. Base damage: 230 plus half of power. Blast: 170 plus half of accuracy. This weapon can only be acquired through finding all 7 crests of the elements scattered throughout the universe. Upon finding and defeating all 7 guardians to the crests. You shall be tested by the true owner of this weapon.
Variable Mog Upgrades(Costs 3,500 gil to upgrade)
Fire Mumba - A doll fashioned to that of a mumba. It burns with an eternal flame. Adds 150 damage to all fire attacks. Adds 50 to Magic. Base 7 + 1/4 power.
Frozen Cait Sith - A miniature version of Cait Sith. It has the power of ice locked away inside. Adds 150 damage to all ice attacks. Adds 100 to Magic and Self Control. Base 10 + 1/4 power.
Raging Cactaur - A doll fashioned to that of a Cactaur. It empowers the owner with rage. Adds 150 to Power, 100 to Speed and 200 to Magic. Base 25 + 1/2 power.
Space Warrior - A funny shaped doll. This blue doll looks like it came from space. The power of storms lay inside. Adds 300 to all Lightning attacks. Adds 200 to Speed and 450 to Magic. Base 15 + 1/4 power. Must be upgraded in Colony L-3 X18999.
Onion Knight - A small version of a knight from long ago. Fashioned even with a little sword and shield. Powers up all magics by 250 except status effecting ones. Adds 350 to Magic, 300 to Intelligence, and 250 to Determination. Base 30 + 1/4 power. The doll must be upgraded in Baron then taken to Mysidia to be used, otherwise the doll is useless.
