4th Beast of
Daniel 7, Iron/Clay of Daniel 2 identified as Roman
Empire:
Rome is last in
succession of world empires beginning with Babylon
It is the only
empire not taken over/succeeded by another empire
It was divided
(East/West), then fragmented (Daniel 2)
Kingdoms rose
from the fragmented Roman Empire
These kingdoms
began their own empires, and devoured the whole earth.
The European
Nations identified as the fragmented Roman Empire
The following
list of European nations provides an example of nations which continued in the
path of Roman colonization of the world. They are not in any particular
order:
1. Spain: South and
Central America, Philippines, among other colonies
2. Britain: North
America, Bahamas, Australia, Hong Kong, among others
3. France: North
America, French Guiana, colonies in Africa, Vietnam,
others
4. Turkey: Ottoman
Empire which settled further into Asia and to the North
5. Portugal:
Brazil, Azores, others
6. Russia: Empire
once included Alaska, which was purchased by U. S.
7. Netherlands:
South Africa, New Amsterdam (later renamed New York),
others
8. Italy: Colonies
in Africa, others
9. Germany:
Colonies in Africa
10. Belgium:
Colonies in Africa
The United States
identified as the “little horn” and home of the
Anti-Christ.
These may not be
all of the European nations which colonized most of the world, they are given as an example. If the 10 kingdoms
rising from the fragmented Roman Empire include nations such as those listed,
then it stands to reason that the king/nation which would arise after these,
would be the United States:
1. The United
States arose after those nations
2. The United
States owns territory all over the world
3. The United
States has military bases in other countries around the
world
4. The United
States has military power beyond the reach of any other nation,
ever.
5. Its people have
literally “trodden the whole earth”
6. It is not
insignificant that the U. S. has placed its flag on the
moon.
7. Prophecy
concerning the “little horn” of Daniel 7:24 states that
this king/kingdom will subdue 3 kings/kingdoms. The fall of Germany, Italy, and
Japan after the U. S entered WW II may fulfill this prophecy. Or more recently,
maybe Afghanistan, Iraq and ?. Or under another
translation, it is said that the three kings will be humbled. Possibly France,
Russia and Germany after their opposition of the U. S. war in Iraq. Time will
tell.
8. The “mark of the
beast” is some kind of identification that will be necessary for buying and
selling according to Revelation 13:16. At this time, a microchip is under
development here in the U. S. called the “Verichip,”
produced by Applied Digital Solutions. There are 18 people in the world that
already have this chip injected under their skin on their right arm. Go to the
web site at http://www.adsx.com/ for further
information on this. The mark is under development right here in the good old
USA.
9. One of the
characteristics of the anti-Christ is that he will be able to cause fire to come
down from heaven to earth in the sight of men according to Revelation 13:13. The
development of satellites for use in missile defense may be a fulfillment of
this. Again, it is the U. S. that is developing this
system.
10. It is from
Daniel 9:27 that we understand there will be some kind of covenant between this
world ruler and Israel. It is the U. S. who is always mediating between Israel
and Palestine for a peace process. This coming covenant could possibly
appear as another attempt at peace in the Middle East.
The Bottom Line
In 70 AD, the
Roman general Titus leveled Jerusalem. It was a massacre. The temple was
destroyed. But according to history, there were no Christians in Jerusalem at
that time. According to Eusebius (Ecclesiastical History, Vol. 5, Ch. 5), they
left before the destruction occurred. Philip Schaff, in his History of the
Christian Church (Vol. 1), tells it like this: “The Christians of Jerusalem,
remembering the Lord’s admonition, forsook the doomed city in good time and fled
to the town of Pella in the Decapolis, beyond the Jordan, in the north of
Peraea, where king Herod Agrippa II, before whom Paul once stood, opened for
them a safe asylum.”
In our day, where
much of Biblical prophecy has now become history, and as we begin to see final
events recorded in Scripture take place before our eyes, we would do well to
take appropriate action. This is not a call to panic, as there is much yet to
take place. There is no temple in Jerusalem at this time, and no one is being
forced into mandatory implanted identification. But as things begin to fall into
place, and IF some of us are NOT raptured before things begin to happen, we
could follow the Jerusalem Christians’ example and be prepared. One third of
fresh water will be gone, and there will be widespread famine. By not accepting
the mandatory identification, buying food will be out, and death by beheading
awaits those who refuse to accept. So as the time approaches, as we see more
things fall into place, one would do well to stock up on water, dried or canned
food for about 4 years or so per person. Also a safe place, possibly in some
mountains or other remote wilderness suitable for lying low for a few years
might be sought out. This can be done on vacation camping trips for the present.
Not to panic, but just to be smart. Wildlife, game, and fish may be hard to come
by as a third of that resource will be gone, but silent hunting tools such as
bows, crossbows, fishing equipment, may prove valuable.
