| Welcome to the main page of my new site! This project came about by my desire to freely express myself and to creatively explore my interests/obsessions. (Yes, I have to admit, I am mildly obsessed with a few things!) I will probably keep this unknown to people in real life, so that I feel free to be the real me, with no editing! How I ended up with realm3: I had thoughts of Ellcie's Place, cottage, path, villa, patio, solitude, sanctuary, dreamscape, musings, escape, realm, garden, hideaway, porch, veranda. That was the list I made at first, although I wasn't particularly dedicated to any of those ideas; I did like solitude, sanctuary, and dreamscape the best I think. Oh, and hideaway also. Then when signing up for the Angelfire account, I found that you had to choose a directory off of their list, which wasn't all that extensive. Mostly state abbreviations, with seemingly arbitrary numbers, and some other stuff that really had nothing to do with what my site will be all about. So realm3 was one of the options, and although I still wasn't thrilled with it, I couldn't fight it since it had been on my first list. Now it seems to have led me to the new name of my site: Ellcie's Realm. Credits: All images found on these pages were not created by nor do they belong to me. Site Updates 8/9/04 finally pieced together some images to make the topper for my pages; added a credit note to give credit where due, since the pics aren't mine 7/27/04 just edited some wording also removed the email me link and instead included that info on the about me page 7/23/04 mapped out and created the basic form of the index page today. Links to my livejournal blog and to email me do work. Have to start writing in my blog though! LOL. I did just set that up yesterday. Also need to find (or later on, create) a good topper image for this page; I put the space there, so it will just have to stay empty for now. back again-- just changed the link to my livejournal blog so that it will open in a new window, since it's offsite. I think I might remove the email me link, and instead just put that contact info on my about me page. Not that it really matters of course, since I doubt anyone's even going to be seeing this site. I'm really doing it all for myself anyhow. |
