Story:
Born Janus Sigmund, he was taken from his family by a clan of theives and assassins. By the age of 17, he was the best assassin in the clan and he had gained notoriety as a perfectly silent killer. On a contract to kill an American Ambassador, he was captured and taken to a covert government facility headed by a group known only as "The Council". Naming him "Project Shroud", they changed him over the next ten years and by the time they were done, he had become a man-made vampire.
Their strength, senses and abilities were now his. They had even tipped his fingers with diamond-edged fingernails. The downside: The neural boosters and muscle implants needed a constant supply of fresh plasma. In effect, he gained the vampire's need for blood. One day, news reached Janus that the Council had been assassinated and the government was planning to destroy the facility. So, Janus fled the complex and was unleased upon an unsuspecting world.
