Welcome to the Page of Dale G. Laughlin....Playwright and Overall Nice Guy

Hello, all!

Forgive the above picture. It's the best one I have at the moment, but I'm working on getting a more professional grade photo. I'm really not the devil. Honest.

As the weloming banner implies, I'm Dale Laughlin. I am currently residing in the small city of Twin Falls, Idaho, population "less than a metropolis," "more than a hamlet."

I was born in Bakersfield, CA on the second day of October in the year of our Lord 1976. That would make me just around the corner from 30. I can see 30 on the horizon, steadily approaching, and for all extensive reasons, I'm presently ignoring it.

On my long soujourn through the paths of life, I've lived in a few places, such as Arkansas, Texas, Nevada and even Colorado for a few days. I've been writing since I was a young lad of maybe 12. I started with writing poetry, worked up to short stories, then on to three to ten-minute play skits, and finally to full-length stageplays. My first play, excerpted below, "A Death or Two in the Family; from the Files of Frank Hodge; Private Eye" won the Rocky Mountain Theatre Association Playwrighting Competition in 2003. Since then, I've been attempting to get my play produced as much as possible, if not published. Needless to say, I have only been successful with getting one performace of two nights. Those two nights did sell out however, so my hope soared.

Read the excerpt of this play and if you'd like to read more, or if you think you'd like to perform this show, you may reach me at my E-mail address at Str8.Jkt@mailcity.com I'd be happy to work something out for you. Thanks again for visiting.

My vital stats are as follows:

Age: 28 Height: 5'9" Weight: 190 Eyes: Blue Hair: Blonde

Just in case you were wondering and all that. Check out my play below.
