Welcome English II!

Hello Girls! Welcome to English II-- American Literature. This is one of my favorite classes to teach, and hopefully it will become one of you favorite classes to attend. We only have one quarter together so there is a great deal we must accomplish is a short period of time! This website was designed to assist you in checking homework and project assignments as well as deadlines and guidelines. Please see me if you need clarification or assistance on assignments. If it is after school hours, feel free to email me, but please be aware of the time in which you send the message. Week 1: August 26th - August 28th

• Week 1: 8/27 to 8/28
• Wednesday, August 27th
• In Class: Distribution of books, syllabus, Parent-Student Contract (due 8/28), vocabulary list
• Homework: Define Vocabulary list and read assigned "Young Goodman Brown"
• Thursday, August 28th
• In Class: Collect contracts, distribute questions for YGB and go over story and vocabulary, First project given
• Homework: Choose one essay from the handout, and answer it in complete sentences. Assignment MUST be typed, double-spaced, with 12 point font, any style as long as I can read it
• Reminder: 1st Project is due Wednesday, September 24th
• Reminder: Supplementary Reading books are due Tuesday, September 2nd- NO EXCUSES!

Week 2: Sept. 1st to Sept. 5th
