HRH The Prince of Venice and Piemonte and his fiancée, Miss Clotilde Courau, pose for the press in Italy ahead of their wedding, to be held in Rome on the 25th September 2003. The wedding will take place in the Roman Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, where the future King Vittorio Emanuele III had married Princess Elena of Montenegro in 1896. A reception will be held afterwards at the terrace of Hotel Exedra, overlooking the Basilica, followed by a private gala dinner at Palazzo Ruspoli.

The bride is expected to wear an exclusive model of designer Valentino, who – apart of designing HRH The Duchess of Savoy’s wedding dress – has been responsible for designing two of the most spectacular wedding dresses of the past decade: the one of HRH Crown Princess Pavlos of Greece, born Marie-Chantal Miller, and the one of HRH The Princess of Oranje, born Maxima Zorreguieta. She is furthermore expected to wear a diadem of the Italian Royal Family’s collection.

The future Princess’ engagement ring was designed on the orders of The Prince of Venice by Geneva’s jeweller De Grisogono, a stunning jewel formed by a splendid heart-shaped ruby surrounded by 14 heart-shaped diamonds.
