Genesis 6:6-7 NIV “The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. So the LORD said, “I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth – mean and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air – for I am grieved that I have made them.””
Think of the world today and think about all the violence going on around the world and think that we are monsters…Imagine what we did back then. What could we have possibly done to make God wipe us from the place of the earth? Good thing there was at least one righteous man out of them all to keep us alive…

Genesis 11:4-9 NIV "Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heaens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth." But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building. The LORD said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other." So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. That is why it was called BAebel - because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth."
...What!! God seperated because we were acting whole?? i don't get it. isn't that what we all are striving for these days??? In this text it just seems like God sabataged humankind. But i guess the part "make a name for ourselves" would cause that.

Genesis 12:7 NIV"...So he built an altar ther to the LORD, who had appeared to him."
Why can't God just appear to me? i mean where's my burning bush? why in this generation ...era does God not make himself physically appear to us? it just feels that people were just stupid back then they knew for sure that God was there and yet were stupid about it. We get..."feelings" a concience. Why does it seem to me that we have to have a lot more faith then they did back then? You would think that physical appearance of our Lord would be more needed now then ever. then again they didn't have a Bible. But they did have God directly...i much rather have God physically speak to me then me trying to interpret what the Bible is saying. i could read one passage and i could mean something totally different to someone else...have a different meaning altogether. those are my thoughts.

Genesis 15:1 NIV ..."Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward."
Genesis 16:12"He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers."

Genesis 18:16-33 NIV
Abraham is one brave man. To question God's motives wow... God is such a leader allowing a servant to question him. i'm amazed, God is great.

Genesis 19 NIV. Again God destroys man for his wickedness. First we thought we could be like God now we're wicked through our sexual immorality. i really wish i could go back in time and slap Adam and Eve around....have you ever thought about that? what if you were to go back in time and in so doing stop adam and eve from eating from the tree. If we were to go back in time wouldn't our just being there be influence enough...would they even need the tree? what if our influence was all they needed. no wonder they say that messing with time could be detrimental...if you were to do it that is.
Genesis 22 I could only imagine what would be going through Abraham's head or isaac's for that matter. When God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, either way i'd be scared senseless. The Angel says that now he knows that Abraham fears the LORD. how does he fear the Lord if he obeys him? or is he afraid of what would happen if he doesn't obey God?? that must be it.

Genesis 27 NIV
I hate how Jacob decieves Isaac for the blessing. Wow how does God allow that to happen? Why did Isaac not get mad at Jacob for such deception?
