THE FIRST TIME

By: ANONYMOUS

The night was young

The day was old

The sun was setting

The moon was rising

There are only two people

Sitting there just talking

She is thinking about it

She loves him a lot

But nobody approves

Her parents and her friends

They don’t like him on bit

She knows how they all feel

She wants to out of spite

They do it, forgetting one thing

He dumps her like a sack of potatoes

She is left with the memory forever

She is left with the memory named Amber

She tries to call him

She tries to talk

He doesn’t care

He got what he wanted

Her parents tried to warn her

So did her friends

She is left with the memory

Out on the streets

She has no trust from anyone

She has no money

She has no job

Amber is given away

But nothing changes

“It’s your own fault,” they say

“We tried to warn you

He’s bad news”

She didn’t care at the time

Now she faces the consequences all-alone

She now knows it only takes once

She is just wondering one thing

Why did her one time

Have to be her first time ever
