*So Beautiful, They Are*

Remember when we were young,
And everything seemed so easy;
Before we knew it, High School graduation was a thing of the past,
And we left our families to become independent, at last.

The 'real world' has taught us so many things
We never had to worry about before,
The responsibility has since shifted,
And we no longer ask for 'mom and dad' anymore.

To be a young child again
Has been a recent dream of mine
They are so free from the stress of modern society
See, the children are so innocent and their spirit, so free.

So beautiful, they are
But also, they lack of experience;
This experience that makes us wise,
Because we no longer see the world through a child's eyes.
