*Renewed Faith*
Lying here a moment longer,
Breathing lifes precious air within;
I thought this independence would make me stronger,
Will He hear me confess this very sin?
I was told He loved us-each and every one;
But we can change how He views us all,
Will you stand, pray forgiveness, and promise not to fall?
For we are the ones for whom He gave his only son.
The nights I was alone have passed,
when I forgot He was by my side;
To answer my prayers and always be there,
even when I cried.
He didn't dry my tears
Or even lend a shoulder to lean on,
I just renewed my faith and quelched my fears,
for I knew, in my heart, He'd continue to live on.
I believed in Him before,
But I slowly lost the faith and love
Until He kept answering my prayers
